With regard to punching mma fighters are used to punching with little support for their wrists unlike boxers which is a clear advantage if the fight goes on, plus their not used to covering up with giant gloves like regular boxers which is also an advantage. Boxers are used to fighting in pure boxing range, street fights are not that unless your fighting someone in the middle of a football field or somewhere weird and the boxer can backpedal. We're all boxing fans here as it's an MMA subforum on a boxing website. I don't know why pure boxing fans take it so personal when people say that there's more to fighting than just punching from distance. Personally I've always said that boxing and wrestling makes the best combination for MMA and especially streetfighting. Too lazy to get in a pissing match though have a good night :good
Dude boxers train without huge gloves on all the time uve obviously never trained boxing seriously. Jack Dempsey has been in hundreds of street fights and bar room scuffles and he said in his book that boxing is great for street fighting, ya just have to tweak a few things, and he said it was bad to roll on the ground. You think ur opinion is more valid than jack dempseys? Hahaha.
