Well shugga sluggs, ima reckon most on here will predict a victory for Cain, but i got Jones. Why? Cause he's brutal, unpredictable, well rounded, and more intelligenter then Cain :deal

This is a legit thread. Jon is a huge LHW.. I bet he walks around at 230-235. With his frame he could easily fill out to 240-245.. Jon is naturally bigger than Cain. This fight is a very real possibility in the near future! :deal

I respect your opinion.. Im still on the fence. I mean either guy could win depending on injuries, training camps, how Jones fills out.. Etc

So how do you see the fight going.. Do you see Jon taking Cain down? Or out striking him?

Cains all about groundwork, so i doubt Jones wants to go there, not until he really has to. He could hurt Cain on the feet - he has some hideous jarring moves - the vile **** actually seems to target areas like the knee caps and pineapple. He's also a fluid improviser on the feet - he'll pull a brutal strike on you when you're least expecting it.

And when it hits the ground, Bones is absolutely devastating - maybe the most devastating ive seen. It sure would be interesting to see what Cain could do to him from top position though

Because of Cains naturally bigger size, awesome cardio, and damn good all round game, i could see this one going to the wire. And Cain awesomely neutralized THEE best striker in the HW division

Its one hell of a match up Sluggs :good

    :smoke

I think it really depends on how well Jones acclimates to the HW division. The guy is a special fighter, he has made easy work out of everyone @ 205.. He has so many weapons, speed, striking, reach, wrestling... The whole 9..

Then we have Cain, The guys also a beast and he's used to fighting big guys. He doesn't have many holes in his game... His ground game is solid, He has improved his stand-up..

Jones will make him look foolish. Cain has a punchers chance but thats it.

This is a hilarious quote by Cain:

"He's on a two-fight winning streak, he just knocked out Alistair Overeem, a huge victory," Velasquez said. "You can't underestimate anyone in this sport, everything's so close with the little gloves and all of that."

HAHAHAHAHA, a massive 2 fight win streak!!! WOOOOooooooOO! This is what I hate about UFC. in Boxing, a guy usually has a 15 fight win streak before getting a title shot. UFC, u win 2 fights and wham, you're a champ -- for 1-2 fights before losing. Unless you're GSP.

    They're different sports, man.

"Don't you just hate how the Baltimore Ravens played just 19 games and were named champions? But the San Francisco Giants played more than 100!"

    See what I mean?

Plus, especially within the context of MMA; you're only as good as your last fight... as it is with every fight these guys have. Almost like the butterfly effect.

Antonio Silva didnt just come out of no where and win 2 random fights and the UFC decided to give him a title shot.

Him outboxing Arlovski and knocking out Mike Kyle made him a fringe top heavyweight. Him obliterating Fedor put him into the top 10. Velasquez and Cormier (along with dos Santos) are so far ahead of the pack that losses to them don't even matter. AND THEN Silva knocks out hot prospect Travis Browne and no.1 contender Overeem, resulting in a two fight winning streak and, IMO, deserved title shot.

I would give the edge to Cain if they fight at HW.
Cain has got the better wrestling of the two and he has a good cardio on top of that.
I just see Cain doing what he did in the JDS fight and that is shot for the takedown and outwork Jones

Flex my Bro.. What's up, How have you been?

You have to remember Flex That the UFC is structured differently than Boxing.. The best usually fight the best. In boxing guys will fight 10 nobodies to start their career and slowly up the competition. In the UFC, The top 10 are constantly fighting eachother trying to get a title shot. Cain was going to fight Alistair but Bigfoot knocked him out... So Dana really had no choice but to give him the shot. Werdum is tied up with the Big Nog fight and Struve just got defeated.
