The Olympics pretty much finds the best of the best in the world. Due to certain reasons, that isn't the Olympics that Hammill was involved in :)

He won the "world olympics for the deaf", not the real olympic games. Funny how they never say that on the ****ing broadcast huh?

I like what I see from Jones but how many times have we heard, This guy or that guy is the future? This guy or that guy is something special. Hell not that long ago everyone (including me) was drinking the Machida cool-aid. Rogan proclaims "The Lyoto Machida era begins!", that **** lasted all of 1 fight, now he is facing being cut if he loses to Couture. I'll wait and see until he gets the belt before I drink the cool-aid on this guy.

Should be not be fans of and have high hopes for up and coming fighters until they have become champions? Should we wait until we start praising them until they have defended that title two or three times?

Yea, Jones is much better. That's the point. And Nog as little as he did still won the fight.

No but I see and hear people talk about this guy as if he is superman and unbeatable, exactly like Machida. I just reserve judgement until he ups the quality of competition. Looking good against Hammil, Bonnar, Vera and a way past his prime 40 year old Matyushenko is way different then Shogun, Rampage, Hendo and the like. Sorry just my opinion. Way too many hype jobs for me to get too excited about at this point.

Its hard to see where bader can win this fight i think that jones has a 11" reach on him,i think that it will be hard for him to close the distance and strike or get the takedown. There is always a chance he could land something looping he has the knockout power to put alot of guys away.

Machida is still that guy. You do not have to go 100-0 to make an impact. What Lyoto did was raise the level of his competition. It made the game more strategic and tactical.

Imagine if they cut Machida for losing 3 straight fights.

Machida wont get cut. He's only really to my recollection even been in trouble twice in his UFC career, Tito's triangle and getting ktfo by Shogun. He wont lose to Randy.

Machida is going to destroy Randy. Destroy him.

I hope Machida does beat Randy but the fact is **** changes quick and thats my point about Jones, he looks the part, he has all the tools but man you just can't be so sure like most people are. Its alot harder to be Anderson Silva then it seems people think.

machida is a bad style match up for randy but im not sure how machida is mentally and randy could have one great gameplan left in him. despite coming off of 2 losses, i would consider it a hell of a victory.

This is what I think. I'm not sold on Machidas power either, despite his impressive stoppage of Rashad.

Randy is at the peak of his well-rounded game....his chin probably won't hold up again mind, despite the fact I don't believe Lyoto is a particularly powerful striker.

The winner of this should fight the winner of Jones-Bader IMO. Winner gets winner of inevitable Rua-Rashad-Rampage round robin (Shogun IMO)

Doubtful I mean most seem to think he beat Rampage. Although it would look bad to win very bad decision vs Shogun, get KTFO by Shogun, lose close to Rampage then lose to Couture however he would lose. Still though he was the Champ 6 months ago he wouldnt go anywhere. Remember Jens Pulver was allowed 5 straight losses by Zuffa. Tito has lost 3 in a row and is main eventing a show vs Lil Nog.
