Jon Lewis Dickinson will defend his British cruiserweight title against Neil Dawson on March 8th at the leisure centre in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. Both fighters have found success as of late on the domestic scene. Dickinson beat Shane McPhilbin in 2012 to capture the British title and came back this year to successfully defend it against David Dolan and Mike Stafford. Neil Dawson ended 2012 by flattening Tony Conquest to win the vacant WBO International title and started this year with a decision loss to former European light-heavyweight champion Danny McIntosh in Prizefighter, but then came back a few weeks later to defend his WBO bauble by knocking Chris Keane out in two rounds.
This fight would have been ideal as the main support to a Hall v McDonell fight at the Newcastle Arena I big North East v Yorkshire night
yep it's a good fight and a long time coming for Dawson. Dickinson is more skillful, but i'm going for a Dawson stoppage in 4-6 rounds.
Dickinson grinds out a close decision as he has now got good championship experience over 12 rounds. Any news about undercard? Hopefully travis or Glenn foot can get a good step up
Iv'e not heard much about the undercard, I'm sure Travis and Glen will be on it but it depends if tv picks it up. Say Boxnation put it on then you would get Bradley Saunders and Simon Valily on it as well.
Who is promoting this show? hope it's not tosser Wraith but it might be if it's down there. I might pop down anyway I always like to watch Jon-Lewis Dickinson's fights when they're up here.
That's a good fight between Saunders and Nurse and as i said it depends if Boxnation picks up Dickinson-Dawson which they very might do seen as Dawsons a ****** fighter so they might do that and put it on the undercard or they might wait to put Saunders and Nurse on Stu Halls next show in March/April.
