Round 1

Dickinson is plowing in, forearms bunched up as he springs up and down at the knees and forks out jabs at Dawson. Big steps rightward and lead right hands sniped in by Dawson. Dickinson is diving in under the inclined jab of Dawson, shot up from the hip aimed to connect on the underside of Dickinson's nostrils. Jabs traded on the outside. 1-2 by Dickinson.

Round 2

Dickinson is moving in and throwing up 1-2s past the neck of Dawson, who keeps jogging laterally and bouncing up and down. Dickinson is applying pressure with the 1-2 but mostly hitting arms. Big left hook by Dawson, buried into the rib cage with a follow up on Dickinson's temple, Dawson backing his man up with the double-up. Dickinson is continuously moving in, guard raised higher now to catch the hook.

Round 3

Dickinson is working the 1-2 moving in and out. Dawson is sliding back and drawing the bow with his own 1-2 but having to reach as Dickinson gets in to score and then escapes all before Dawson pulls his trigger. Increasing clinches.

Round 4

Dickinson is clapping up with right hands falling in, scrabbling at Dawson and shoving off with both arms on his tall lean frame to get outside and reset. Dawson is planting nice left jabs but unable to string many together at once, looking to puff a bit heavily.

Dickinson's trainer is very good, IMO.

His voice during the stool breaks has been very calm, equal parts encouragement and constructive honest criticism.

After the 2nd he acknowledged "this guy can hit, eh?", and he is up-front about some bruising around Dickinson's eye and makes a point to always tell Dickinson what mistakes he is making without ever tearing him a new ******* over it...and he keeps telling him what to exploit in Dawson.

 

Round 5

Dickinson is bobbing up and down and moving in with the 1-2 from a tight shell over his face. Dawson waves a few shots down at him and pushes down on the back of Dickinson's head, warned. Dawson is a moment late with his jab as Dickinson bends in past it, landing a few wild no-look rights up top falling in and patting the body on the inside as they wrestle.

Dickinson is moving in and leading with rights up into the jawline of Dawson from below. Big step-back bursts of body punching by Dawson. Solid 1-2 by Dickinson flitting in and out. Dawson is walking through jabs willingly now to loop in heavy shots above the belt line of Dickinson.
