Gavin got caught in the 2nd by a right hand. More of a flash knock down. Gavin improved and has adjusted. Bossing it now.

Actually this is a really good fight for Gavin, it's good to see him in against someone much stronger who could hurt him to see how he reacted. He responded and is now boxing beautifully, he'll never be fan friendly but I just love the way Gavin rolls and spins his opponent, his footwork is absolutely superb.

Not gonna pit a pat his way to a world title though, is Gavin. Too many good boxer punchers at 147.

Gavin is a wee bit boring. He's boxed well in this fight, but don't think I'd pay PPV to see him fight

Then again, his opponent was quite awkward too

    116 - 111 Frankie Gavin

I think that was one of the most entertaining fights I have seen from Gavin. It was watchable.

Why is Saunders fighting a blown up featherweight? Total mismatch.

    Round 1

Prince is putting in some hefty left jabs and lobbing the right hand behind them from mid-range. Saunders catches him with a counter left uppercut and looping right and drops him by the ropes. Extra shot in the head of the moment by Saunders while Prince is down. Prince is stabbing ahead with straight combos looking to settle into a workable pace. Big hooks on the body and slashing uppercuts by Saunders. Prince dips by the ropes and nearly succumbs. Saunders remains atop him with butterfly hooks and uppers and Prince does go down again, toppling into the ropes and given a count.

    10-7 Saunders

Shades of MAB vs. JMM, there.

Was it uncontrollable or not? :think (the extra hit on the downed Prince)

    Round 2

Saunders is jerking away from Prince's quick forward-stepping up-jabs from the hip. Counter jabs and hatchet rights by Saunders, turning Prince. Slower round, but still Saunders'.

    10-9 Saunders

    20-16 Saunders

    Round 3

Saunders is rocking his weight foot to foot and leading with both stuff-through power rights and wide but quick left hooks. Prince is holding steady, firing up jabs and shimmying from side to side, managing to use swiveling head movement and well-timed ducks underneath to slip most of Saunders' jabs. Saunders is jerking back to make Prince overreach and miss his own jab and then landing pull-counters.

    10-9 Saunders

    30-25 Saunders
