Maybe Prizefighter could look at doing a section for the elder statesman of the sport where they can all be in against lads of a similar age group....A veterans tournament???

Or why dont they do a Prizefighter style Royal Rumble!!!....15 men in the ring, once your down your out no counts, last man standing is the winner!!!!

    Tear up city windmills galore!!!!

Someone phoned me today asking if I'd herd Michael Gomez going in it because he boxed on a show in Manchester this weekend

It's 32k. Nice bit of change. I've heard Ricky Hatton also wants a slot (if he can get his weight down). Prizefighter's the game for chancers and money grabbing ****s.

"Oh no John please don't do it your too old, why would you do this"

IMO it will do Matchroom and Prizefighter no good to have Gomez or Thaxton in it.

I like Thaxton but he cuts easy and was loading up towards end of career and gassed early i'd like to see him back doing TV work. Love his enthusiasm.

Why do people moan about this? It gives the competition more interest having an old guy people have heard of in there rather than 7 youngsters few have heard of. And for the old fighter its an opportunity to earn the kind of money he wouldn't realistically be able to get in any other fight.

if he wins it, it was a brilliant idea for him to go in it, if he gets stopped which wouldnt be a surprise, then it was a ridiculous idea that was never going to come off.

It's only 3 rounds and it's good experience for any young up and comers to face these experienced guys who only need to be fit for 3 rounds of action.

It's a good test for them and we're always gonna see these older guys in for that reason :deal
