Jonathan Banks visited by Haymon and Golden Boy b4 the fight

True, it was the same against Rossito and he almost lost a fight against Mora just for not trying at all. Banks has a history of dull performances like that.

IMO, Banks technical superiority was clear and he could have easily won the fight with a little more activity.

A clear possible big HBO fight with Adamek is what Banks missed in there.

 

Don't go there. Wlad vs. Ibragimov is still the biggest snoozefest and it got Wlads ass kicked off HBO. Wlad was scared to death to get hit by Ibragimov.

 

Thats what I was thinking being WLad the egg was ringside. If there was a fix Wlad was in on it. WLad has sunk so low to make sure he never gets hit in his weak ass chin again he is trying to control who his future fights will be. He should be worried about coming to terms with Povetkin but insted he comes all the way to the USA to cheat. Wlad promised Banks a lot of money to throw that fight. Now Wlad will try to sell the trash fight to American publc but we will not fall for it. I've already emailed HBO and Showtime and told them in advance we don't want to see that ****.

Banks didnt throw this fight. He wasnt himself. all of us including banks are trying to figure out why he fought like that.

Wlad was there to support a guy from his team.. simple as that

Banks is being way overrated on this forum to be honest. Lets not forget he got knocked the **** of by Adamek. But still I can understand why some would think he was paid off by Wlad the throw this fight. He did back off everytime he hurt Mitchell. So he could figure out why he just stood there when he hurt Mitchell??? I don't see why that would be so hard to figure out. Banks has been boxing for years. WHen you have him hurt throw punches. He wasnt himself excuse just does not fly here. Throw goddamn punches. Even a 3 year old kid can figure that out unless Banks was on crack or something.

I think that some of the people here are "trying to figure out why he fought like that" and are not buying "he wasn't himself" and are coming to the conclusion that he threw the fight.

I am not making that assumption but I can see how some people here are.

banks was clearly the more skilled fighter and Mitchell is mma at best. jds would kill him. seth has the skillset of a shane carwin.

I can see why ppl would say that, but he didnt throw the fight. All of us are trying to figure out what the hell happened...

To sum it up, Mitchell was hurt every time Banks threw anyting meaningful.
Banks was worried after dropping Mitchell, and he lowered his workrate and threw only jabs.
If it wasn't fixed, it was a well strange match.

 

no problem, chef. and I can speak for everyone here and say that were all glad that youre still posting on the esb fourms.

and I think that we can all agree that Mitchell is horrible.

i don't believe he threw the fight, but why did he stop throwing punches after putting Mitchell on ***** street in round 3? he didn't pick up any injury or anything, at least none that he's mentioned, but it is really strange, he has the guy gone on his feet, then suddenly stops fighting :huh

 

What are they gonna do with Mitchell though?

Wlad would KO him when they touch gloves.

 

If it had been a fix, Banks would have gone down to make Mitchell look good.
