Anyone who knows anything about the sport understands that Banks is not the kind of guy that would take a dive. He was clearly trying to finish Mitchell when he hurt him early on...he simply couldn't do it.

Have any of you conspiracy theorists considered that he hurt his hand and that was why he took his foot off the gas the rest of the fight? His body language tells the whole story. Watch him as he stares at his right hand after the gloves were taken off and shakes his head...

Banks kept letting Mitchell off the hook. Hell, he had Mitchell out on his feet, then in the next round quit throwing punches! He hurt Mitchell later on and did the same thing. Mitchell hit Banks behind the head. Why wasn't he warned? Banks was knocked out by Adamek, yet Mitchell could not hurt him. Vitali or Vlad would easily knock Mitchell out, no doubt about it.

Why would Team Banks let you privy to information of him throwing the fight? Of course he's not gonna say he threw the fight. Unfortunately, I went through the torture of watching the fight again & I'm convinced the fight was fix. Boxing is a dirty game. Banks HAD to resort to not throwing punches because every time he hit Seth, he didn't react well to it. Banks even tried hitting him with soft punches and Mitchell was still getting hurt, so from that point on Banks knew not to throw punches.

Sorry CHEF, I respect your opinions, but cannot agree......there are several plausible if not convincing reasons for Banks to "throw" the fight, while you offer only that "he wasn't himself". It's pretty weak IMO....and (like it or not) you are biased by your relationship with him. So I wouldn't expect you to support any of the accusations that have been made against Banks.

Banks was supposed to lose the 1st fight IMO, but didn't know Mitchell had no jaw at all and KO'd him. Banks should have and could have put him away again easily, but realized once he was about to do so.....remembered the plan this time with Wlad ringside there to supervise. Boxing isn't a clean sport, and this is a good example of why.

All of this benefits Wlad and K2 promotions.

    yes.

just look at the scorecard of stanley Christodoulou in the trout/canelito fight.

alvarez up 9-0(complete shutout) after eight rounds even though canelito was outlanded by twice as many punches in four of those rounds. only outlands trout by one and two punches in three of the rounds that he happens to outland trout

    gbp money working hard.

    How?
So wlad can now fight Mitchell? NO WAY will team mitchell come around wlad at this point. They know seth has NO CHANCE. you are putting way to much K2 influence on this fight

The K-2 conspiracy theories are ridiculous.

    1) Banks didn't have a plan B - once he failed to KO Mitchell he wasn't sure what to do
    2) He should have had James Ali Bashir as his trainer instead of that Hill guy
    3) Banks inexplicably sometimes becomes passive and doesn't throw (see the Gavern fight)
    4) Mitchell's constant holding was tiring Jonathan, Seth is the bigger man

i haven't seen haymon and/or gbp visit another fighter out of their stable just before the fight. so, i'm just wondering what could be the reason why they had to "pay" banks a visit just before the fight.

to wish him good luck and ktfo of mitchell doesn't make sense.

i'm thinking more of when oscar handed pacquiao 250,000 in cash and 250,000 in check.

that amount would be a good investment in getting a 3-5mil payoff with mitchell against any of the K bros.

No you should ask yourself that! You taking everything literally. See that's what happens between you *******s and the language barrier. Gotta learn some slang foo

Do you honestly think they would show the public or let the public know they paid Banks some money or might have even strong armed him to purposely throw away the fight?
