Like I said, it was familiar.

 

Round 1

Caballero is putting in long left jabs and staying tightly wound up and tall. Barros ues a lot of feints and tries to look for spots to bash his way in. Caballero drops him!!!!!!!!!! Looked like a short left hook!!! Jelly legs, and delayed reaction!!! Barros gets up and fights on. Caballero chases and lunges with jabs and rights to the body. Barros tries to hold. BARROS IS ON THE ROPES!! Caballero whips him with those long noodles and leans away to slip Barros' return fire. Barros is staggered back again with a right hand. They tie up and spin around as though slow dancing. Caballero works his jab, then leans straight back as Barros tries to stuff his own jab up into his chin. A few hard rights by Caballero to the chin and body. Barros bravely rallied back and claps his right arm hard against the back of Caballero, causing the Mendoza crowd to go wild but not really landing

It was actually a short right uppercut that dropped Barros; impossible to see except from the correct camera angle. (they showed multiple slow replays)

 

Round 2

Barros jumps around Caballero and flings both his arms up in wide arcs. Caballero is slipping well and using a lot of slick shoulder rolling and lean-away defense. Not many punches landing either way compared to the 1st (which wasn't exactly a three minute bell to bell fray itself). Lots of posing. Caballero starts to flick out a jab here and there, circling wide. Barros trots in, turned sideways and working his left jab rapidly but lacking the reach or thrust to get it to make contact. They clinch and Caballero patiently waits for the break rather than try to infight with Barros. Caballero leans away while jabbing. Caballero looks very relaxed in there. Barros is all nervous energy. Caballero comes charging forward and smacks him with a hard right hand. Another. Barros is unafraid, and gets right up in Caballero's chest trying to land jabs to the face.

Round 3

Barros is coming forward and arcing up those overhand rights at great altitude, reaching for the lofty skull of Caballero. Barros is able to latch his left arm around Caballero and club away with his right. This is the infight Caballero didn't want. Barros is making it rough for him. Barros is warned for rabbit punches and holding/pushing behind the head. Caballero had "sold it" a bit, but Barros was also guilty. Caballero starts to lean away and flick left jabs up from the hip, trying to avoid the grab-and-smash tactics of Barros. Caballero looks uncomfortable.

@ the commercial for Panama (as in, a Panama tourism board ad) on Argentinian television during the boxing match between citizens of both nations.

I guess there's nothing that weird about it...you just don't really see that here. IE when Hatton brought his rowdy Wonderland-descanting hooligans over we didn't get bombarded with propaganda to come visit beautiful Manchester. :yep

 

Round 4

Damn! Barros is up to the same tricks, and has Caballero hurt and shelling up into a ball. Caballero tries to jab but is now even losing the jab battle. Barros is grabbing him often and always jerking him around and smashing him with overhand rights whenever he does. Caballero has been made totally gun shy and is letting Barros beat him to the punch, even with the jab (which is supposed to be Caballero's real strong point here).
