Barros is just flipping his fists straight up as he marches in, trying to hit Caballero with the tops/backs of his gloves. Crazy stuff. Caballero backs away anxiously and is reluctant to try and clinch, knowing Barros will just bully him and twist him up in knots. Sure enough, Barros does so - after initiating the clinch himself. Caballero swings but can't land on the shorter man who's right up in his personal space, violating his comfort zone. Barros lets a jab whiz by his face and then darts in to pop Caballero with a pair of high-reaching whacks. Caballero keeps lunging and has his head turned back with a sharp left hook. Barros leaps in and presses his forearms out against Caballero as he lands, allowing him to drub away on him while leaning against him.

Jonathan on the other hand seems very well conditioned.

 

Round 9

Lots of hugging, Caballero cloying to Barros now and willingly accepting the clinch. Barros starts to circle around at mid-range, thrusting up with high jabs. Caballero scores another knockdown!!! It happened very fast, but the commentator repeatedly shouted "correcto, correcto" to indicate it was the right call by the referee. Barros seemed to feel it wasn't a real knockdown, or is just acting macho. He keeps pecking away at Caballero from the outside, doubling his jab and trying to clobber him with high rights. Caballero wilts a bit under fire; could it be a two-way knockdown round??? No.. It finishes with a sputter.

10-8 Caballero although I'm not sure he'd have won the round w/o the KD.
