Admirable but stupid? He needs to get a little more experience under his belt and maybe an immediate rematch is only giving Banks more of an advantage.

We should have seen this coming as in Banks last fight he was hurt against a very soft puncher.

He should be moving onto better things. That fight was no fluke or freak ko.

 

Banks win again for me, but even if Mitchell wins he's been exposed and I don't think he will become a champion. But he is fun to watch.

Bold move but I guess it is "make it or break it" moment for Mitchell especially when they have rematch option on Banks. Mitchell will be more cautious next time around but Banks should be able to UD him.

 

I think Mitchell will be a lot more cautious. I can't believe they're doing it again though. I guess he needs to redeem himself. Fair play.

 

Mitchell had a rematch clause and was headstrong enough to exercise it. It's not like Mitchell was dominating before the knockout even. That said, I still think it's a 50/50 fight, just like I thought the first one was. Banks isn't aggressive enough to win a decision I don't think. Ever since he's moved to heavyweight, he's conserved energy, looked for angles to counterpunch and tried to land a home run shot. Both of his best wins at HW (Mitchell and Walker) came that way. I expect him to come in with the same strategy (I can't remember the last time I saw him actually fight offensively) and Mitchell to be more cautious, but at the end of the day Mitchell has much better athleticism and stamina, and Banks is a much better counterpuncher and probably a better boxer (and IIRC has a pretty major reach advantage).

 

Even though Mitchell got a great boxing lesson from Bank's the first time it won't be enough :nono

I know Mitchell had a rematch clause, but he should of went for "lesser opponent" before asking for the rematch. Unless it was immediate rematch or nothing.

Well I still favor Banks, be he better not underestimate Mitchell regardless that he starched him the first time.
