Jones and Hopkins- where do they belong among ATGs?

I guess it's well known that you don't like Roy Jones and underrate him.

The guy asked where do you rank Roy and Hopkins, and who is better between them.

Saying that you don't rank Roy in the top50 isn't really answering the question. Where do you rank Roy and Hopkins?

 

Roy Jones Jr is top 25. Is resume is exemplary and he is H2H probably the greatest pound 4 pound fighter of all-time. There are maybe 5 guys in the history of the sport that beat him from middleweight to lightheavyweight He gets underrated because he's black, but he was almost unbeateable in his prime and if his last name was Rodriguez he'd be top 10 guaranteed.


Bernard Hopkins 30-40 is fair. So so middleweight reign, longevity and one of the most crafty boxers to ever lace em.

 

Now list your top 50 atg then, let's see if you really know what you're talking about

 

He doesn't get underrated because he's black, that's just bull****. My guess is that you're probably black yourself and looking for excuses. If anything black fighters get rated as "great" more easily because people have become accustomed to seeing great black fighters.

And if there are 5 guys who beat him from MW to LHW then how is he "H2H probably the greatest pound 4 pound fighter of all-time". You just said there's maybe 5 guys who beat him and that's not counting all the other divisions where there might be H2H greater P4P fighters.

 

Thats because you're a moron. I clearly said P4P. Do you know what P4P means? P4P he is H2H the best fighter possibly ever. You're a ******* so I'll use Pacquiao as example, from featherweight to welterweight there are loads of guys people would pick to stomp out Pacquiao. There are maybe a handful that people would pick to just beat Roy.

As for overrated, consider this, PAcquiao is seen by some as the greater fighter, yet got his ass whooped no less then 3 times in his prime. Roy Jones lost maybe a round per fight for almost 15 years.
