Jones and Hopkins- where do they belong among ATGs?

Roy Jones p4p top 10-30. Hopkins 30 to 50. Lets be realistic here guys. Hopkins never beat any real legit middle weight that was worth anything. He beat Tito and Oscar and Winky. Hopkins turned pro as a light heavy as well and didn't start dominating until Roy left the middleweight division. Roy has the better resume by a long shot and he has faced more champions than Hopkins and don't forget he went up to heavy weight as well. As for being a cheat he took ripped fuel which is a fat burner.

Roy and B-Hop both are top 20 ATG's, maybe higher. In accomplishments and H2H match-ups very few would have matched-up.

 

Spinks and Foster would both spark him at 175. Are you going to tell me that they're both white and over-rated? Race has nothing to do with it, 3 of the top 4 fighters of all-time are black.

When Calzaghe beat Hopkins, it was sandwiched between Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik. It was when Hopkins was at his strongest and fully hydrated. Hopkins had everything in his favour ie new weight for Calzaghe, in America, 3 American judges and Cortez as ref, yet when Calzaghe beat Hopkins, One of the judges posted the widest score against Hopkins ever 116-111.

You are a troll. Hopkins wasnt beating Mercado years back but was beating Tarver etc years later.
Calzaghe was closer to the end of his career than Hopkins and Jones when he fought them and not prime himself, but its that word prime that gets used after a fighter gets beat.

Very arguably that he beat Mercado, nevertheless, there was a version of Hopkins in between Mercado and Tarver, and that was the Trinidad version of Hopkins. 2001. Prime Hopkins, better than any version of Calzaghe. PWNED.

Calzaghe was arguably less detatched from his prime, which I would argue was from 2005-2007. Hopkins from 2001 is better than any version of Calzaghe we've ever seen. PWNED.

Roy Jones is at least in the top 20. Anyone who says he's not in the top 50, are you saying there are 50 guys who are more great? Can you name them all?

Roy Jones Jr is in my top 15. Just because he lost a few fights as hes grown old it does not take away the fact that he won the heavy weight title, and has beaten many ATGs, champions, and has a strong resume overall.

If Bernard wins a heavy weight title then he will be above Roy Jones Jr on the list.

As far as who I have ranking higher, King Manny Pacquiao ranks higher than any active fighter today. Roy Jones Jr ranks second highest. Bernard Hopkins third highest. Then you have Winky Wright, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya, Evander Holyfield. All of them rank in the top 20-30.

In the case of Evander Holyfield if we are talking P4P he is certainly in the top 20-30, but if we are talking heavyweight then he's in the top 5.
