IBF light-heavyweight champion Clinton Woods has set his sights on a rematch with American legend Roy Jones Jr.

"I would love to fight Roy Jones again and this time I would beat him," said Woods, who defends his title against Antonio Tarver on 12 April in Tampa.

Woods faces a tricky fight against 'Magic Man' Tarver, who co-starred with Sylvester Stallone in Rocky VI, but Jones expects the Englishman to come out on top.

Jones said of Tarver vs Woods, "Tarver is essentially weak-minded and he gets nervous. He is mentally not the strongest person in boxing and this will be to Woods' advantage. I think Clinton will win and then he can fight me."

A Jones / Woods rematch should be interesting. We will able to see just how much Roy has left.

Jones/Woods would be a good fight today but what does this fight do for woods? If he wins, everyone will say he beat an old Roy and not the same Roy that gave him an ass kicking awhile back. If he looses, well he looses and looks bad

It would give him something extra trying to convince Calzaghe to have one maore match in Britain, it be still unlikely though.

I want these lightheavyweights to stick to the script and that means the Tarver-Woods winner fighting the Dawson-Johnson winner. ENOUGH WITH THE SENIOR'S TOUR ALREADY!

Jones has absolutely no right to call Tarver weak-minded, after Tarver psyched him up in and outside the ring.

Tarver owns him, he must've forgot.

I suppose it would give an indication on how far Roy has fallen.

Woods beats him comfortably at this point. Jones should retire.
