If you have any spare change from buying Scru's bridges, would you like to buy several time shares from me?

No probably about it IMO. He's still growing into his body, he hasn't yet reached his physical prime for a heavyweight fighter. And although he's already got a lot of championship experience against the best the division has to offer, he's still somewhat raw. He has a lot of technique still to learn.

And Rashad and Henderson are legacy fights. His resume will be better with those guys on it, even though Hendo is old and will get embarrassed against Jones.

It's better for Jones if he grows into the heavyweight division naturally, rather than bulking up to get there right away. He won't have the overwhelming physical advantages he currently has, so he'll need to tighten up his technique because getting tagged by Machida is not the same thing as getting hit clean by JDS or Overeem.

Most guys don't even reach championship level until 26, 27, 28. GSP was 25 when he beat Hughes for the title. Matt Hughes was 28 when he won the title for the first time. Anderson was 31 when he beat Franklin, FFS. And all those guys are much lighter than Bones. Lighter fighters tend to peak and decline at younger ages. Jones already has a VERY strong championship resume, and he's still younger than any of those guys were when they first claimed a belt. There's PLENTY of time for him.

@ LHW Jones is a god and superstar @ HW Jones would be a midcarder at best and wouldn't get passed zombie nog.

  5. this is a similar discussion against Lesnar. Jones has the UFC hype behind him, how he would be more impressive on his feet. Overeem though is a K1 fighter with a great record there. Even though its their best chance, JJ and JDS wont be matching Overeem in the striking department. JJ and JDS might look ok fighting against American scrubs but they simply doesnt have the arsenal and experince. Flashy combos look good in films but they do leave themseles open quite a bit. Overeem will easily take JDS and JJ standing, you can bet on that.

He got hit when he was off balance, managed to avoid the rest of Machida's flurry while moving backwards and stood right back in the pocket on steady legs a couple of seconds later.

You have a pretty loose definition of being "rocked."

Seemed to defy gravity. Maybe Bones really does have a touch of the Spider about him

Machida knew he wasn't hurt as well, that's why he quickly disengaged and was very cautious straight afterwards, because he figured Jones would be coming back at him.

You can't develop a physique like Overeem unless you're on gear. Jones is bound to become a heavy as he's very tall and will fill out with age. Naturally he'll put on no more than 20lbs at best. Which positively will not be lean mass.

Both of them were/are on a BUCKET load of gear. Anyone that is naive enough to believe that just via 'hardwork' training and eating that a man can easily surpass 230lbs of lean muscle need's their head tested. The human body is incredibly efficient. It simply does not have the capability to put on that kind of musculature because the body just doesn't require it. Therefore it has to be augmented with drug.
Poundstone is quite lean despite being a whopping 340lbs. Likewise Pudz was close to 300lbs. The human body doesn't know the difference between a lb of muscle and a lb of fat. It treats the weight the same. Which by all accounts means men of those sizes struggle anatomically because they're simply not supposed to be that size. The long term effects of so much weight, along with the drug abuse will have an effect on them later in life. That much is a fact.

There r hundreds of rugby union and rugby league players running around here in oz professionally with these physiques u claim are impossible to achieve without steroids....:deal

I will say not to the extent of pudz but overeem type builds yes indeed.
