I had it level after 7. Unfortunately then the cut happened and Joe won all the remaining rounds.

I agree I think the cut had a huge impact on the fight. Credit to Calzaghe for winning it though

Up to 6 with the knockdown included it's quite conceivable people could have had Jones slightly ahead. Some of the rounds were fairly close. The judges not giving Jones a round is very misleading. I also think people have been influenced by the total non event of a fight the second half turned out to be. Half way through Jones was still very much in the fight.

If it was that close I wouldn't have been so sad watching it.

Sorry but there is no round i could give to Jones after the first one. I really can't understand how some could.

The BBC had Jones slightly up after 6, and Setanta had Jones still very much in it.

I agree as mentioned above, after the cut it knocked RJJ's confidence and afterwards he looked like a man who knew he was going to lose.

Personally I wish the cut hadn't happened, however thats part of boxing.

Jesus Christ, how differently some people view fights staggers me. Could you not just see that Calzaghe was twatting him? From round 2 really. Even though I gave a couple of draws, think maybe 2 and 5 but I was pretty hammered. I've watched it twice since, I enjoyed it that much.

This is a pretty fair assessment. The thing that seemed most effective to me about the work Roy was doing was when he was going to the body. He threw very effective straight rights to the body in the first couplee and for some reason, whether Joe got to him or whatever, when he stopped that it seemed to signal the end of his chances.

LOL! I struggled to give Jones a round after the 1st. He barely landed in the 2nd and Joe largely controlled the round. He landed a couple of good shots in the 5th but again Calzaghe landed a lot more and was the dominant fighter. You can't score a round to a fighter for landing two punches that in your opinion looked like hard shots when the other guy is landing frequently and cleanly.
