    Round 1: Jones 10-8 Clearly
Round 2: Jones 10-9 Extremely Close
    Round 3: Calzaghe 10-9 Clearly
    Round 4: Calzaghe 10-9 Clearly
    Round 5: Calzaghe 10-9 clearly
    Round 6: Calzaghe 10-9 clearly
    Round 7: Calzaghe 10-9 clearly

    Through 7: 67-65 Calzaghe.

I'm fine with the three judges giving Joe round 2. I had it very close, but gave it to Roy.

Rounds 3-12 were clear Calzaghe rounds.

Roy, while more staggered by Roy's forearm KD than Bernard's, was not hurt and took the fight to Roy for the balance of the round.

At the bell, Roy was more dismayed than Joe. His psyche began to crumble at that point.

Erm, the 3rd round was possibly the most one-sided of the fight in favour of Calzaghe, so much so that one of the commentators was talking about scoring it a 10-8 round to Calzaghe.

The guy who gave round 3 to Roy, is that a joke or a mistake? from that round on Calzaghe completely took the **** and drained Jones' confidence. A few rounds could arguably scored for Jones yes, the HBO commentary had it even wider for Joe than Setanta. Here's my scorecard, bare in mind I'd been pissed off my head that night celebrating my 21st! And I was cheering on Calzaghe.
    1: 10-8 Jones
    2: 10-9 Calzaghe
    3: 10-9 Calzaghe
    4: 10-9 Calzaghe
    5: 10-10
    6: 10-10
    7-12: 10-9 Calzaghe
    Total: 118-111 Calzaghe.

    Thats just ignorent.

jones thought it was going to be easy after the knockdown. he thought ''i have the punch to knock joe out so now ill let him get tired and then ill hit him with big shots''. this played straight into calzaghes hands. he has great reflexes getting away from punches and is super fit so wont get tired. jones didnt give him any reason not to come forward.
calzaghe just had to jab his way in and then jones would cover up to a barrage of punches from calzaghe.
if jones was jabbing, however, then calzaghe would have had to think about getting beyond his jab and then he would have to worry about whats being thrown behind it too, giving calzaghe a good reason not to get too close to rjj. like the knockdown for instance, calzaghe comes in, jones counter jabs, then follows up with a right. if this would have been jones tactics, it would have been a much closer fight
    thats just my opinion though!

I was at the fight and it was alot closer than most say, up until the cut it was a close and very good fight. Roy didin't counter as effective as he had after the cut and would just cover up with out countering as he had earlier. But i didin't see a Full Fight domination as some may say.

This version of Roy gave a very good fight considering his fighting style nowadays , Cover up and Counter big. Once he stopped countering effectively though it was done.

    peace

People who think that fight was close are probably the same people who think BH beat JC. You do not win rounds, nevermind fights, for throwing 5 punches every three minutes.

At least Roy didn't give up, hang on or try to spoil the fight. He gave his all but came up very short. He gained respect from me and I've always been a fan of his.

Nobody thinks this fight was close dude....Rounds 2,5, and 6 were. If one judges this fight 115-112 calzaghe(if they gave the 3 super close rounds to roy jones), I would say it's a legit score. And I've been repeatedly bashed for this...Some on this board are just so ignorant:huh

I thought Jones was 2 rounds and 3 points up going into the 3rd.

    After then Calzaghe took over.

I initially had JC from round two on. Rewatching it, I gave the second to RJJ. Read the body language of the two after that round. JC KNEW he had RJJ's measure and RJJ knew it. JC sticking his ungarded face right into RJJ's wheel house and RJJ NOT being able to pull the trigger. :-( Joe was having fun out there, Roy wasn't.

Nothing really wrong with your scoring. I had it similar. Joe clearly won, but a couple of those rounds were close as long as you are looking at the quality of the blows vs being seduced by shoe shining someones arms. That stuff does dazzle a lot of judges though. In the second half, jones just shut down and there wasn't much else to score for him on.
