I think its a toss up. If the fight is at LHW, BUT I believe it will be at 170 at a catchweight. If Jones can take his punches it would be a good fight. But I think alot of people forget Jones is a good body puncher. But Cal will be the favorite, but just hope he can take roys punches
RJJ by SD ..Its going to be one hell of a boxing macth but I would favor Jones he will land the better shots !
its one thing getting hit by Hopkins right hand once every 3 rounds....and its another getting hit by RJJ combonations EVERY Round...... Calzaghe will get countered with accurate shots all night....then lets see if he keeps throwing wide slapping punches:good
what even the modern day roy at this stage in his career? prime roy is faster for sure, but now? not for me
Calzaghe outworks Jones Jr, but does not dominate him at all. Jones lands with his fast hands but doesnt do enough. UD Calzaghe
If you can find me any example of Joe being faster than Roy and hitting harder I will agree with you ..
This is not any easy fight for either of the two but I believe Jones can't break Joe's game like Hopkins did, so he has to do it the harder way. And in 2008, I think Hopkins is more accurate than Jones. It's gonna be a great fight and I have to go with Joe. Close UD. No controversy.
RJJ is my favorite fighter but RJJ's style is all wrong for Calzaghe. RJJ is not a master at making people miss nor is he a ring technician like Hopkins. He just stands in front of you with that high guard and counters once every blue moon. Calzaghe would simply outpoint him. Only way RJJ wins is if he really comes forward and goes for the KO. And if he isn't successful at this, he might gas out for the later rounds and still lose.
