This about Warren I can believe.

But this hudson chap is seemingly forgetting that at the time Joe was a very comfortable supermiddleweight.

What weight for this fight? Before or after Jones at Heavyweight? (A destiny he seemed intent on fulfilling).

    Hmmm?

Are you on bad crack or something! Collins beat Eubank and Benn and had an iron chin, which is the MAIN reason rjj got cold feet. Collins begged to fight Jones, but the later.....bowed out. That, my friend is fact. :deal

I really don't understand why all you Calzaghe fans get so irritated about this:

So what if it IS true? What's the difference? Why does this make you mad?:huh

They get mad because they dont want to believe that Joe wouldnt fight a prime Jones...I mean damn the guy has all but said it himself...As I said the point of this was to show that Jones confirmed what had been reported about Warren turning down the offer to fight Jones, for years Jones himself never said anything about it, but it was reported, Calzaghe fans claim that the offer never happened.

But even if Warren did turn down the offer, that wouldn't be Joe's fault/decision. So I don't see why his fans should get all fired up about this. :think

Rumors become FACT when everyone involved pretty much confirms it....Dibella who was running HBO said that Joe was offered a fight, Warren said that the fight was offered but the money was peanuts and Joe dont fight for peanuts and now Jones says that the fight was offered and Warren stopped it...I would say that went from rumor to fact.....I guess I dont understand what you think you've stumped me on:hey

Collins was doing well on the UK circle (which SMW basically was for several years until the rest of the world caught interest).

I actually think Joe would have been a difficult fight for Roy back then. However, Roy would rather easily have beaten Collins. Either very wide UD or KO.

Nah that isnt true, For years Joe would talk about have a hard time making the weight and this being his last fight at the weight..What alot of you guys dont understand for whatever reason is that Joe has had a TV deal here in the States with Showtime for many years, and whenever he fought a decent fighter they would show his fights Eubank, Reid, Sheika, and even a few bums like Veit, and Mcintye were shown here. It was during that time in which Joe talked about having some problems making weight.

I didn't know this was your forum, and what's wrong? Can't stand that a black man likes fighters who prove them selves no matter skin color
good for him, and bad for you. His 33rd post is better than any of yours.
