If true he will not make anything. It will have to do 140-150,000 buys to reach Hopkins numbers. The live gate MIGHT reach $500-600,000. But you also have to deduct all of the other expenses first.

I really hope so, but I doubt it. Usually a "Big" Roy Jones PPV # is more like 400K. I hope it does well for the two old timers. And I hope Jones F*cking dies!!!! J/k. I really like both of these guys, but I am rooting for Hopkins. The sad part is, this fight would've had some meaning if Jones didn't lose his last bout.

What people seem to forget is that PPV providers receive 50% of the televsion revenues.....then you have to deduct the cost of the event itself from whats left which in this case will be more than $1 million.
This event will do NO MORE than 200,000 buys TOPS! It MIGHT clear $4 million.

100,000 buys is 5 mil. they will be okay.

There are 100,000 hardcores that will buy this. I know 4 of them.

I'm stupid for even being interested in this comedy, but I think I'll stay up until 5am British time to waste my time on this "Revenge". I'm losing my marbles - I'm only 27.

I dunno know what numbers to expect for this one, if Tito/RJJ could do over 700k theres no telling what this one can do.

I highly doubt this. I've always heard that Jones is very savvy when it comes to the business side of things. I cannot accept a rumor that he didn't take care of himself in the event the fight didn't do well.
