Hopkins was smiling like that at the final bell vs Jones- the ****er barely won a round.

Where the judges got 116-112 from only they know?

Nice, P. So if Calzaghe's arms were moving he won those rounds, eh? What a blowout. Hopkins got owned on your card. Interesting criteria, what's your method exactly?

Bold talk - something you would clearly say to a group of Black men face to face. You're very tough I'm sure.

Joe was landing solid shots especially in the second half of the fight. BHop did well the first few rounds but by the 4th he looked gassed. By that time, Joe was continuing to land first. Was landing some solid straight lefts. By the second half of the fight Joe started landing his jab, shortened up his punches and started landing more solidly. Bernard ceased to counter and just started to grab. He didn't do anything aside from land one good punch at the end of the 8th or 9th round, but was hardly enough enough to take the round. I don't understand what fight you were watching. Are you blind? I thought the Calzaghe/Kessler fight was closer. Kessler did a hell of a lot better against him than BHop.

Calzaghe barely laid gloves on Hopkins. LITERALLY. That's not a very good feeling. Calzaghe had very good reason to be concerned. Forget about just after the fight though, folks - Calzaghe has been making it very obvious ever since how he feels about the way that went.

It was an ugly fight. Joe wanted to box, Bernard wanted to spoil and sneek in the occassional potshot in the clinch or while his back was turned, or fake low blows to take a break. Of course that's frustrating. Its even more frustrating to watch.

Bernard hardly threw a punch for the last 8-9 rounds so no matter if Joe only landed 5 per round out of 10 thrown then he still wins. You just cannot win if you don't throw. Very simple.

The first three were close and if we give every single one of those to Bernard that is three points. Plus the KD, that is four points. Then that is it.

The fight really is not that difficult to score. Bernard because panicky towards round 8, 9 and started with his acting and stuff. In the end all he could hope for was that a couple of big checks had been paid into two of the referees accounts. Only Adelaide Byrd seemed to have bought a brand new car recently. Adelaide byrd has several times shown to be a hugely inkompetent or biased judge. The boxing comission should make sure he never judges a fight again.

Are you blind? Or ******ed? In those late rounds where you're claiming that Calzaghe landed "solid shots" he bounced a few glancing blows off of Hopkins, landed a few light scoring straights and possibly a hook or so, and missed a TON. Hopkins in several of those late rounds landed HARD CRISP shots on Calzaghe clearly did the better work. Calzaghe did not sweep every ****ing round like that. It's fine though, P. I know you, bud. We all have our own perception on things.. Hahaha..

Calzaghe - Kessler was alot closer.

However that fight happened in Wales. Kessler pretty clearly won the first five rounds.

Hopkins fight happened in the US and Bernard just hugged for the last 9 rounds. Taken round by round there is no single round you have to give to Bernard. He never outworked Joe in any one round (as the box stats also shows). He gets one point for the KD but that could be it. Personally I tend to give the close rounds (1-3) to Bernard, simply beause I cannot give him anything else.

Um, no he didn't. He said he deliberately threw a low blow in the second round. That's nothing to do with the ones where Hopkins faked being hurt later on.

The first one where Hopkins threw himself to the ground crying was not even thrown as a low blow - it was a punch that was heading for the target area before Hopkins deflected it with his glove and Calzaghe's glove deflected downwards and brushed against Hopkins' shorts. I'm not sure how a fighter would do that deliberately, or why they would want to, as there was little contact.

The second time when Hopkins threw himself to the floor, there was not even a glancing blow landed. The fact that he jumped to his feet smiling when the referee called him on it was fairly good evidence that he was faking it there, no?

The statement was low blows <--- with an ssssss, and yes, Calzaghe did specify that he did all of that intentionally to go even with Hopkins on dirty tactics. Calzaghe also threw about 7,000 rabbit punches in that fight, but who's counting. It was ugly.
