props to Joe for making his money and fighting 'past it' greats...but let's be real, RJJ was stopped by Tarver AND The Road Warrior before JOE C. won a decision against Roy. Roy wasn't anywhere in the top ten. If Joe and his dad Enzo think they r that good, then challenge Dawson and Glen Johnson.

You euronuthuggers are such jokes when it comes to boxing. Who the **** asked Calzaghe to fight Roy jones jr. Nobody wanted to see that ****. Who the **** asked for Calzaghe to come to Madison square, sell 7,000 seats in a 30,000 seat stadium and beat up on a shot roy jones jr? :nut

I like Calzaghe but I got this feeling that Dawson would be too fast for him and would take the UD or even KO.

 

I think that a Prime Joe would have finished Jones in around 6.

Jones was older but so was Lewis when he fought Tyson - Jones was closer to his prime than Calzaghe and had, in fact, improved his game.

But Joe is on another level.

 

Calzaghe could have stopped Jones in this fight, but he had pity and took his foot off the accelerator.

If Calzaghe is to fight one more time in Wales, since he's proven himself against older greats, let him try to go out with a bang and go out in style against a young stud like Dawson......otherwise the best thing for Calzaghe is to let the Jones fight be his last.

 

Yes I would agree. Calzaghe has been damaged goods since 2000, and guys like Dawson want to take advantage of that.

Little do they know that they do not have the talent to beat a guy like Calzaghe.
