Cut my ass........ Royale Jones is old and faded like a pair of blue jeans...... At age 40, his speed and reflexes have gone south...... As for the cut against Joey Calzaghe last November, well, his corner sucked the bone in handling that cut.... Alton Merkerson and whoever else was there was totally clueless with that cut.....

    P.S.

Jones will beat Sheika, but so what.?.?

this statement is not that crazy or at least not anymore crazy than those posters who say that calzaghe dominated jones and that jones is a walking zombie. jones did drop calzaghe early (albeit with a punch that included a lot of forearm) and IMO jones was competitive until the last couple of rounds. jones wouldn't have stopped calzaghe but i think it could have well been a real close fight without the cut. when i say that, i'm assuming roy would've taken more risks towards the end of the fight to land good shots rather than let calzaghe pile on points towards the end

Jones lost big time. No one disputes Calzaghe being the better fighter that night.

True. But even without the cut Roy would have not beaten Joe on that night. In his prime yes, but he's old now, unfortunately... Roy's better days are gone.
