Hopefully you're right. Jones cannot afford to let Calzaghe off the hook, even once.

Yeah well what did you expect him to say. He's hyping the fight, that's the way it goes.

I hope he pulls off a miracle and turns back the clock one final time, but I think Roy's chances are slim against The Slapper.

And yes, I agree with San on this one, Roy doesn't seem to have that finishing-killer instinct anymore. I hope he proves me wrong if the chance is there.

I agree. I also think it's far more likely that Jones puts Calzaghe on ***** st than the other way round, even at this stage.

 jones' workrate makes sam peter look busy. seriously though, he lacks the killer instinct now. he had tito, a former welter, dead to rights and he let him off the hook. even if he stuns joe, he won't finish. The only stoppage could be on accumulation by calzaghe. I see the Brit winning by 8-10 pts.

i might be even willing to partake in another avatar bet :rofl :D

When Roy was young, he loved fighters coming at him. When he lost all that weight coming from heavy, he was never the same. He didn't even like going to the ropes anymore. Physically, he just couldn't hold off those guys anymore. Now his body is used to 175 again, but he hasn't really faced anyone who could punch since he lost to those guys. I think that Roy thinks he can block Cal's shots, and counter effectively. I think he can pull it off.

Yeah, sure, he lost to Johnson and Tarver, so he is laughable, a nobody, with no legacy at all.

    STFU *****.

Yeah. Hopkins got Joe's attention early and kept him at bay with that one punch for a while. But NO follow up after a knock down? If Jones catches him early AND follows up how long will that put Joe on the defensive? How much busier does RJJ have to be than Bhop to even things up? The biggest question is how much conditioning is RJJ doing? If he comes in with some lungs, this could be a shocker. :deal
