Griffin was a brutal banger man.

And Sosa a sharpshooter who's feet were right and punches arrow-like.

    Jones

    Hopkins

    Toney

Jones at nr 1 should be self-explanatory imo and I put Hopkins after him because I think he was more versatile than Toney. He could go after his opponents, brawl with them or box them. It should be said that Toney faced better comp in his prime, though, which might be what made him look more vulnerable at times.

    Jones>Hopkins> Toney

Toney is last because any guy with a jab, chin, and lateral movement could potentially beat him.

I can't get past how he Jones just destroyed guys like Malinga, Tate, Sosa, Johnson (yes, he lasted the distance but only by going into severe survival mode), Griffin and Hill. These were guys that win or lose in general didn't make it easy for anyone and he just did what he wanted against them.

Tate and Malinga were nothing special, Sosa was coming off career-ending wars and Reggie and Virgil were nearly a decade past their best. He lost to Griffin fair and square, being out-feinted and out-boxed round after round (rematch without Futch).

I fancy Nunn, Reggie and McCallum of 1991 to possibly beat the Jones of 1993. Nunn certainly. Although having said that the weigh-ins changed to day-before between then

I take it they didn't see the Toney McClellan sparring footage

Maybe they saw more than the one in person. But it was stand off pure boxing anyway on film

Toney obviously looked a class appart from McClellan. McClellan has a punchers chance against many but that aside he should be losing against the elite.

He was made for Toney if he stood off and boxed

Both Toney and McClellan were a special breed

Roy is H2H monster between MW-LHW.

    Who are the opponents?

If they all fought the same opponents, I’d give Roy the biggest chance of beating them all.

There’s no way that GG would have beaten Roy. He has a short reach, he’s very easy to hit and he marks up. He’d never have coped with Roy’s speed and unorthodox style.

GG wouldn’t have gotten near Roy.

    Gerald could have done.
