What the idiots of today fail to see ..What he did to good and even great fighters is made them look average ..Ironic and almost poetic justice somewhat that in the end it took average boxers to beat him ..

    Clinton Woods against Jones.

    Absolute clinic..

And you know what...it was the last prime Jones that we saw.

His fight after was against Ruiz (heavyweight) big mistake because after he was completely weightdrain.

Look his fight against Glen Johnson in 2004.....it's simply not Roy Jones in the ring. No energy from Round 1, no legs...nothing.

And then the concussions against Tarver and Johnson had a big effect on him.

Put Tarver and Johnson againt Jones Jr just after the Woods fight = different ball game completely

Just look at Tarver Jones 3 there were glimpses of the Old Jones ..I honestly beleive Jones smokes Johnson and Tarer around the Woods day ..Hell he smoked Richard Hall who beat Tarver and also broke Tarvers jaw ..Before his decline he was just on another level as opposed to those guys ..

Think you mean Harding, not Hall. But I agree with you.

    Honestly

I have great respect for Hopkins - Calzaghe and Tarver but i can't simply not see any of those guys beat Jones in 2000

The Jones of this video...no chance. No one would ever win a decision against the Jones of 1993-2002 ..no one.

There is too much people who underestimate the weight factor after his fact against Ruiz.

When i saw his fight against tarver 1 just after...i thought that Jones aged 10 years

Even coming into the ring he looked dry as hell I was like Jones don't look right ..That might have been the first time he was tagged in succession ever in a pro fight ..

IIRC, wasn't he complaining about being sick in one of the pre-fight interviews?

Clinton Woods is so paralyzed that he literally just stops punching for two minutes as Roy artistically batters him and the ref says enough.

Thats whats most immpressive about Roys resume. Its how he beat the guys he beat. The measure of his greatness is that the best Super Middleweights and Light heavyweights, who were solid fighters, were fighting each other in life and death type fight, close decisions, etc. Roy dominated them and completely outclassed them in every department. Just take a look at Toneys, Tarvers, Michaelcheski, Woods, Johnson, any of those guys records.

:deal The guy Hall could actually box. He was a tall rangy southpaw with a good jab. He was just in the ring with Roy. Nothing you can do. I wonder how Calzaghe would beat that Roy.. :rofl We all know Calzaghe beats a prime Roy.
