Golovkin would resemble a Pez dispenser with boxing gloves.

I think people are forgetting that Jones struggled with pressure fighters and could be forced to the ropes even against not-great pressure fighters like Castro. Plus, he really didn't have that many fights at middleweight all things considered.

Prime Golovkin definitely had the tools to give Jones a hard time (his feet were much faster back then) and the power to knock him out. GGG's ability to cut off the ring and his relentless pressure would create problems for Jones that he's not used to dealing with, especially if he could back him to the ropes where Jones was more vulnerable.

I'd probably favor Jones overall because of his speed and reflexes, but I give Golovkin a good chance to knock Jones out if he could land something clean. Though I doubt GGG would win a decision given Jones' flashier style that typically impressed judges more.

This would be a much closer fight than people think and Golovkin has a style that would def trouble Jones more then people anticipate.

Golovkin only fought aggressive Mexican style against the monthly bum club. If the opponent was good enough to strike him he suddenly became a mid range boxer.
If Canelo and Jacobs kept him from imposing himself , imagine how safety first he would be against Roy Jones
