Oh it's happening for sure. I think the date is Jan 26 or 27 on PPV. And it's going to be at a catchweight of 170 lbs.

This fight isn't that important. Of course, 6 yrs ago it would have been HUGE. Though it would have been that much more proportionately a mismatch. Jones would have done something horrible to Tito in 01, though by then, Jones was starting to slow a little.

Holy ****! That blows my mind a little. It's been SIGNED!?

Anyway, Jones is gonna kick the ever loving **** out of Trinidad and embarrass him worse than Winky and Hopkins combined. Bad style matchup. He'd have to get DAMN lucky to catch Jones. KO/TKO for Jones by round 8. Tito ****ed up.

Tito obviously hand picked Jones because of his chin. He hand picked Mayorga because of his crudeness and willingness to stand toe to toe with him and now he's selecting Jones because he feels he only needs to land one good shot. He won't. He made a mistake. He's gonna get the beating of his life.

If jones stays off of the ropes it will be a no contest. Jones will win by ko. If jones plays rope a dope he will get knocked out, tito is one of the best finishers in the game when he smells blood.

Havent seen much from Jones in a long time. He hasn't stayed busy enough or moved enough for me to favor him, even though he is one of my favorite fighters in memory. Jones doesn't have the same defense he once had, doesn't have the movement or the punch output to keep Trinidad at bay.. What he does have is going to be considerable power at this catch weight against a guy who hasn't seen his type of power, but does have a great chin.

Guess we will see. I think Trinidad will knock him out. Jones hasn't had confidence for a long time. When he goes defensive, he goes against the ropes and covers up which is a bad place to be with a guy like Trinidad, who boasts great power himself..

Yes. I am for real. Tito is one dimensional as hell. He won't land ****. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong. I think Glen Johnson would've always given Roy hell. He's like a bull that never stops coming. To me, Jones showed vulnerabilites against Woods and I said that night that if someone with a great chin and more pressure + great punch output fought Jones he might be in big trouble. Then Glen Johnson did exactly what I thought would work on Jones based on the Woods fight and you know what? It worked.

Tito is getting his ass stomped. MARK MY WORDS. If I'm wrong I'll gladly admit to being completely wrong and eat crow. Everyone is wrong sometimes anyway, but I feel very confident in this and my picks have been pretty accurate for awhile now.

I haven't picked a fight wrong in awhile, so maybe I'm due for a wrong one, but I doubt it in this particular case. This is an easy pick, IMO. I picked Hops over Winky. I picked Winky over Trinidad. I picked Floyd over Oscar. I picked Hopkins over Tarver. I picked Wlad over Peter. I picked Wlad over Brewster in their second fight. I picked Wlad over Brock. I picked Brock over McCline. I picked Floyd over Zab. I picked Cotto over Zab. I picked Williams over Margarito. I picked Taylor over Hopkins both times. I'm picking Shane over Cotto.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and pic MAB over Paquaio too. I could be very wrong, but I'm taking a chance and saying MAB will get sweet revenge.

Tarver and Johnson didn't only beat Jones due to the reasons why many think. Those two would always have posed a problem for Jones stylisitically. Do you really think it's just crazy coincidence that the guy (Tarver) who studied Jones for so long and was SOO sure he could be Jones ended up beating a washed up version? C'mon. He did what he said he believed he could do all along before Jones was considered washed up. The minute he did Jones HAD to be washed up. People can't accept that maybe Tarver matched up against him well STYLISTICALLY even if he wasn't on the same level overall. Fighter A might be able to beat more and better fighters than Fighter B, but that doesn't necessarily mean Fighter A beats Fighter B too.

A Royal Ass Kicking Is In Store For Tito.

Actually, he's regaining some of his confidence. He looked pretty good in his last fight and he has won 2 in a row. Albeit against questionable opponents. But he did throw and actually KOed Hanshaw in his last fight and that was unheard just a few fights earlier when he wouldn't even exchange with Johnson or Tarver 3.

I think he's forgetting some of his vicious losses and getting SOME of that confidence back.

Glen Johnson would've been tailor made for RJJ in his prime. RJJ didn't do squat against Johnson because he was scared and didn't want to get KOed. In his prime, RJJ would've picked Johnson apart as Johnson lacks any special talents but just comes forward with slow hands and aggression. That would've been an easy KO for RJJ.

Tarver i can agree. RJJ had problems with southpaws. I mean one of his toughest fights ever before fighting Tarver was against Eric Harding.

Actually Jones has been laying on the ropes for as long as I can remember. I know he did in the Gonzalez fight back in 2001. But was able to get away with it because of his speed. But now he does it for at least a full minute of a round. Tito will not let him off the hook when he does this.

Now you tell me - I could have made a fortune off all those correct picks :hey

You have to be wrong sometime though - I highly doubt that MAB will beat Manny and I'm picking Cotto over Mosley.

I agree that Jones will beat Trinidad but, at this stage, is it really such a stylistic matchup nightmare for Trinidad? I think it is more that, like with DLH Vs Hopkins, Jones is just the much naturally bigger guy and will have too much power ultimately.
