I see a few similarities. Before any of you ***s go full ******, these are similarities I noticed, not the ****ing ten commandments of how the fight is going to go.

People thought Jones was shot to ****. And he most certainly was. He was fighting a crude slugger in Lacy (Whom had a great chin (just like Lebedev)

Jones smacked the **** out of him. Stopped him, amazingly enough. Jones had little to nothing left in terms of movement. He couldn't fight an entire round. Worked the body very well though, which Toney is still doing well.

Even a shot, immobile Jones who was knocked out in one round in his next fight had enough savvy and experience to "expose" a crude fighter in Lacy.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone see the Toney/Lebedev fight being anything like this?

I just can't stop thinking of a supposedly shot old Duran who'd looked like **** in his last few fights FINALLY getting his ass into shape again and handling Barkley.

Duran was the old master and Barkley was a huge, power punching champion. Duran was a shell of his former self and still had the SKILLS to pull it out.

Also, I don't put much stock into Toneys fight against Fres Oquendo from a few years ago.

Toney has ALWAYS looked poor against movers. His comfort zone is and was fighters coming at him, and that's exactly what Lebedev is going to do. People forget earlier in 08' against Rahman Toney stopped him.

Agreed on all accounts, Toney gives him a schooling. I just hope he doesn't get robbed being the away fighter and all...

Well, two judges had the Jones/Lebedev fight close on the cards. Closer then they should have in my opinion :think

One of those judges (The American, Keith Hughes) Had Jones winning :rofl

Interesting how the Toney - Lebedev fight goes and how it will be scored. Now there are four neutral officials.

Toney is going to whoop this young man. I don't see him stopping DL but he will school him. too much skill, even at 43... Id prefer it if James was a lil younger and it being at home but ce la vie...

Keith Hughes (From USA) had Jones ahead 86-85 against Lebedev :rofl

Daniel Van De Wiele (Belgium) had Lebedev ahead 87-84 and russian judge Evgeny Gorstkov (Russia) had a shutout 90-81 for Lebedev.

The officials for Lebedev - Toney are from Panama and Germany. So officially, there should be no bias.

Interesting comparison. I´ still got Lebedev, but that was only after much consideration, and it wont suprise me if Toney pulls it off :deal
