    De La Hoya gets it in the neck for having fought many smaller opponents throughout his career. But Jones looking for a fight with De La Hoya is more embarassing as the difference is vastly greater than the small opponents De La Hoya himself has fought in the past. This fight should not be made. Jones would be after the money, and the money only. Calzaghe and Hopkins should be on Jones' radar.

    jones wants the payday...can u blame him...now days everyone wants a piece of oscar...but only the lb for lb champ gets it in floyd....

    I would have been very disappointed if this fight came off. Jones is just selling out for as much money as he can make. It is disgusting how much he is trying to cash in on name value.

    im ashamed to say that,at 160, i would have a morbid interest in seeing this;
    semi retired, plodding, out of shape oscar vs RJJ who looks like he had just come out of Belsen.fukin weird!
    they'd both be gassed after 5 rounds.Not even sure RJJ could STAND for 5 rounds if he wasnt even fighting. at this weight anyway.
    be a glorified bum fight!possibly so bizarre it could be entertaining.
    i wouldnt pay for it though.

    If Jones can really get under 160lbs, then why not Floyd vs Jones at 158lbs? Floyd can come in at 150lbs.
