Jones' still has the better legacy

    Agreed.

    RJJ has a much better legacy purely on beating Hopkins and Toney in the 90's
    Prime for Prime RJJ beats Hopkins everytime.
    Sad to watch last night :mad:

    they're about the same now...hopkins may at the end of it all end up ranking higher than jones.

    That would be a crime....everyone knows Jones in his prime was the better more skilled fighter. Hopkins works hard for what he has.....but he lacks the god given abilities.....abilities that can not be trained into a fighter.

    This fight meant nothing...........to eithers legacy.:-(

    i disagree with that. it's not like one is fighting a prime version of the other. or that jones is fighting a younger man. resume wise in my ATG ranking, jones was only one or two places above hopkins before the fight.

    probably yeah. Jones beat Hopkins when they were young, Mike McCallum, Virgil Hill, James Toney. etc. Hopkins is great, but he has handpicked a little, and it is becoming more evident the more blatantly he handpicks. The Tito win was great though.
