Did you watch it? because on the replays it really shows he got hit square on the temple. That picture quality is **** and proves nothing.

I take this back! Not sure if it was because i was knackered when i was watching it.. but finally had a chance to re-watch and yeah most of the glove is behind the ear when he is hit.

Not sure what difference it makes now, sure RJJ will ever fight again.

I know the old (and fair!) argument is that if you don't want to know the result of a fight then don't come on a boxing forum but this one caught me out, I'd forgotten about the fight....

 

I think Roy looked good until he was caught with a lucky punch. I suspect he was weight drained which had a negative effect on his ability to absorb the shot. I think Roy has plenty left and should go up to Cruiser where is speed advantage will be even greater and his punch resistance will be improved due to not having to boil down.

I am of course taking the ****.

 

A lot of that will appear in the GF in the next week or so anyway. Some, or all, of it will be instigated by Jones as well.

 

That fight was already at crusierweight. He got caught once and that was it. Was well on his way to winning the round.

Health and safety alert, boxer gets punched.

A rabbit punch is getting purposely whacked on the back of the head as I understand it - it's not even strictly on the back of the head and it wouldn't matter anyway given the circumstances of Jones cowering away from a punch.

This is the one of, if not, the most ridiculous, ludicrous defences for a boxer getting beat I have ever seen on here and that is saying something.
