Jones - Tarver 1 - How can anyone have Tarver winning?

I have it 7 rounds to 5 Tarver, after watching this for god knows how many times, to me Jones got tooo much credit for shots that were clearly blocked by Tarver.
that final round, I gave that to tarver for the better more fluid and accurate combonation punching. Jones landed well in that round but alot was blocked.....

Sorry but I do not see this as a jones win

 

Round 9 looked like it was all jones but if you are anything like me I score a round based on what actually lands... Jones was throwing but most hit tarvers right shoulder or his forearms... that was a consistant pattern through the fight, fans would scream just at the site of Jones moving his hands... not becuase he was landing but becuase he was just throwing.

as for round 7 are you sure those shots landed to the body? or did those shots land on the elbow of Tarver thats the question and please tell me your not counting the low blows that jones did land as legit body shots now are you?

the 12th I did give to Tarver again you read exactly why I did, he threw a nice one two that caught jones on the point of the chin he follwed up with series of shots round in terms of shots thrown and such seemed close in favor of both, However if you really did watch this fight, you would notice alot of Jones shots did land on elbows, shoulders and gloves of Anotonio Tarvers..

Sorry kid but thats just how I saw the fight...

 

Nah kid, I dont allow myself to get caught up in emotion, Again the difference in my scoring and yours its quite simple..

I am not a fan of neither, so to me there is no motive to be biased, you on the other hand are a fan of Jones Jr... there is motive there... fans can and do often get caught up in emotion, it happens to me as well, the difference is someone who is REAL will admit that and someone who is not will deny it

 

Look above if you want to see one of the wost scoring cards... my card was consistant in that it was a close fight... I had it 7-5 Tarver meaning had Jones won another round on my card he gets a draw..

Yours on the other hand... look I am not going to be a dick about this to you, but honestly kid, your clearly hard core Roy Jones Jr fan.....

 

The only people who scored this to Tarver are people who hate Hones or people who don't have a clue how to score a fight, clear victory

 

The person who was comparing Archie Moore and RJJ. Moore was 188 at his heaviest and never won a HW title and RJJ did, big difference. Going up two weight classes and coming down did do RJJ a disservice.

you were not here when that fight went down, teh majority of this very forum thought either Tarver won it by a round or it was even....

Get a ****ing clue, Jones slowed down enough to get hit he wasnt weight drained, and when he got knocked out in the rematch you can not even argue weight drained as he has had how many months since the ruiz fight to get himself right.

Truth is Jones fought a kid who wanted to beat Roy Jones and it just so happend that Jones slowed down enough to be exposed... as he was in the rematch...
But again I am sure your going to argue weight drained right?

 

And the judges had Williams beating Lara doesnt make it the truth does it?

 

You should have been here as the fight went down, like I said times have changed as well as the members here and thoughts or opinions on the fight.

I disagree, he did not weigh that much for the fight I heard it was 193 or something like that, either way Jones is a Professional and had the right nutritionist working with him to take that weight off right....
and it showed in that first fight as Jones though visably older and a bit slower he was still a live dog in that fight.

That chin got exposed, I never thought of Jones having a solid chin ever, but his reflexes and speed carried him and kept it from being exposed, the rematch showed you as Jones Slowed down that chin was there to be found and guess what? you had Jones on ***** street...
your chin is one of the last things to go so lets not attribute his weak chin due to age.... his speed and reflexes now that you can argue.. but his chin has always been the same it was just finally exposed.
