I have the fight / fights of "Jones & Tarver" on tape............. I recall Jones getting asked by one dude interviewing him before fight # 1, and Jones said he was not feeling at his best; that he was feeling about a 7 outta 10---max....... Jones sounded like he suspected a rough night with Tarver in 2003.....

:lol:Did you even bother reading that? Roy even had a sweat suit on! The scale was hovering at 193... WITH A SWEAT SUIT ON!

Walk around weight is fat; not muscle.... It is easier to cut fat than solid muscle......

Why would Mackie say Roy was 200?

Why would Roy IMMEDIATELY say something was wrong with the scale?

I mean, right when it was read Roy was already asking the doctor to re do it.

I will forever wonder how RJJ didn't get KO'd that night. He took Tarvers shots in the first one... it's bizarre..

Did you bother reading the part where it said "I knew he was more than 193 pounds"?

Yeah... with a sweat suit on. More than 193 doesn't mean 200. A scale doesn't hover at 193 when you weigh 200. Haven't you ever stepped on a scale before? Especially not if you weigh 200 AND have a sweat suit on.

whatever man Roy Jones weighed 199 pounds and that's the god damn deal.

The only thing that matters is this Roy Jones Jr.>>>>Wladimir

Wladimir will never be as great as RJJ get over it man.

That was my ****ing point and honestly I think he had shoes as well... look at it like this forget the shoes.
just teh sweat suit alone can easily weigh 10 pounds and thats assuming he had nothing on under that sweat suit... so the question his how much weight did Roy really put on?

I honestly dont think he put on that much if the sweat suit weighs ten pounsd and he weighed in at 193 that would mean he only put on 8 additional pounds..
and I am sorry but that isnt enough to kill or drain him for the fight with Tarver..:nono

I dont wonder, the answer is very simple alot of times Tarvers feet were out of position to get full extension on those shots, the rematch Tarver timed Jones's movement and got him out of there cus there was full extension on that shot and it landed flush...

He did crack jones though in the first fight with a couple good solid straight hard left hands that were flush.. most of Tarvers work was to the body and the side of Roys head in fight one...

Again I never blame this on jones being weight drained, I think he slowed down a little just enough to be hit but that comes with age..

No, No, No.... A goddamn sweatsuit weighs 3 pounds at most, and that includes the zipper.... Tennis shoe's will add another 2 1/2 pounds at best.....

Look, **** all the ****, I have all these fights on tape..... Jones is clearly much broader / thicker in upper body for Ruiz than he was later on in 2003 for Tarver in order to defend his 175 pound crown on HBO... Jones appeared gaunt for Tarver in fight # 1......

As for the 2004 rematch with Tarver, well, Jones got smoked like a KOOL..... No excuses there... He was smoked.......

    WTF?
