disagree with you 100% that kind of sweat suit that jones had on was a Nike/Jordan the material is thick, let me explain this when I had to cut weight I would step on with my gym trunks and a tee shirt and when weighed with out it, suddenly I am about 6 pounds lighter... Shoes depending on what kind but if they are sneakers can weight a combined six pounds easily depending again on the style of the shoe how much rubber is on the soles and how bulky the shoe is...
I have no clue why I'm even stressing for Royale "With Cheese" Jones, I'm more so a Tony Tarver fan.......... GO TARVER against Danny Green............ MR.BILL
**** man I have a bad feeling about this fight though...... Tarver hasnt looked good in ages.. neither has Green, and oh BTW dont beleive the sparring stories you hear about Danny Green and James Toney, Danny did not hold his own, the only time you saw him holding his own is when Toney allowed him to, for the most part Toney carved his ass up and down like a thanksgiving day turkey. Anyhow I still stress that Roys fading had more to do with Age than anything else.
"Obvious to us now" my ass. "Drained from coming down from HW" bull****. Jones just looked like his peak self against Ruiz. 1st fight, he was drained from HW 2nd fight, it was a lucky punch 3rd fight, he was not motivated You people are pathetic. It seems that you wll find all sorts of excuse to make Jones a superman that he is not. You can not just accept that he could not deal with Tarver. For you, if Jones struggles/loses, something must not be right. Jones met his match in Tarver and that is just about it. If he fought Tarver earlier in his career, the hard evidence says that he would have struggled as well.
Correction, Jones himself said Tarver would have always given him a hard time at any point in his career...
So, you are saying that Jones weighed 199 WITHOUT the sweat suit and shoes... and WITH the sweat suit and shoes you are saying that you would have been 204 1/2 (with his clothes). Yet... the SCALE WAS HOVERING AT 193! Yeah, Roy was a little bit thicker. He wasn't cutting any water weight and he gained about 8 lbs. It can make a significant difference if it is the right kind of weight.
As ****ed up as it is, This may be one reason most of the fan boys say Jones clearly won this fight....
