Hearns in his prime was at 147/154 pounds. Above 154 pounds is when Hearns was no longer in his prime.
Jones in his prime imo was the fasted fighter of all times cause he can ko fighters like nothing with every fast hands that no fighter see it coming. It's amazing how fast Jones was. Mayweather is close to jones as one of the fastest right hand.
I think the fight at Middleweight would do either way but Light Heavy would be a win for RJJ. Hearns was too aggressive for his own good. Although a great boxer, his chin however wasn't great. RJJ's speed and power would be too much. Once Hearns starts getting tagged by those RJJ bombs, he'll try and fire back signing his downfall. Yes Hearn's jab was one of the best around but if a smaller SRL was able to get him and KO him, then RJJ's greater speed and power would take Hearns out earlier. The big question is could Hearns tag RJJ enough and get him out of there? Because there is no way Hearns could keep RJJ out for a full 12 rounds for a UD..... The next question is, could Hearns beat Bhop and Toney.........
Hearns prime was only at 147/154 pounds. <<<Its not hard to figure that out. Hopkins and Toney would have an easy time with past prime not in his weight class Hearns at mw,smw.
Yes i know what you're saying but Hearns did go all the way up to Cruiser and had the body frame to go up in weight well. But yes, Hearns was prime around the ww-middleweight region, so a fight between them two wouldn't be totally fair. RJJ was prime around the LHW division and he would blow away the majority of all LHW in history. If he came back in his prime he would fairly easily clean up the LHW of now. He would UD BHop even more easily than he did before, and knock him down a few times in the process. If a limited boxer like Pascal could do that, he most certainly would have. Bhops only chance would be headbutts and feining injury to get him disqualified....
The interview with Johnson after the fight is very good. He talks about the speed of Jones He was amazed and stunt by his speed and his power
This I loved Roy I still dig out his box set regularly if he had retired after Ruiz we Roy fans would be talking him up as the GOAT......
