Not as fast as Ali's 'phantom punch' against Liston!

It was an insanely fast power shot, it's not really possible to say definitively if it was the fastest ever.
I don't know why people bring up Ali's phantom punch, Liston was paid off and took a dive, it was a grazing blow that did no damage.

Well, being that Hearns is my favorite boxer ever...

I can say objectively that Roy Jones shot was quicker. But Hearns shot was just so ****ing hard....

    - Almost as fast as Gary Russel Jr !

Anyway, pure speed, even if we could measure it during a fight, is not the whole deal. Reaction time is just as important. RJJ certainly had both.

It was really fast, but it seems faster than it really is because he didnt pull his right back to chin.

Still Roy Jr probably the fastest ever P4P

Amazing that Hearns' right hand KO of Duran is being compared to Jones dropping Johnson.

Hearns actually telegraphs the right against Duran by feinting to the body twice with the left hand and the only reason Duran got caught with the knockout shot is because he was completely out of his tits. The amazing thing about that ending was the force, not the speed.

Jones knockdown of Johnson was on the counter, so there is no comparison.

So many clueless ****ers on here, it's actually unbelievable lol.
