How long would it take Jones to get a title shot, assuming he keeps winning.

It depends what title you mean...I suspect Jones could get a title shot at 168 or 175 or even 190 if he really wanted one. He's still a massive name even though he's about 40% of what he once was.

Let's say how many would it take to get a 175 title.

If Calzaghe beats Hopkins, they will definitely get it on in England. RJJ has said that he is more than willing to travel.

I guarantee you that Calzaghe will play the ***** card rather than face Jones even now. Too much risk - Jones hits too hard, simple as that.

I think Calzaghe would be SUPREMELY confident in his chances against RJJ. RJJ's legs are gone. He can no longer jump in and out of spots like he used too. He no longer has the cat like reflexes. He'll simple get out pointed by Calzaghe. Simple as that. Who knows, if RJJ decides to let it go, he might be able to catch Calzaghe but his work rate is really minimal.

I agree that Calzaghe would probably win at this stage, I disagree that he would be confident - Jones was always his biggest fear back in the day which is what kept him clinging to his meaningless belt. If Calzaghes overcome that fear then maybe he'll take the fight - but I doubt it. Maybe when Roy is 42-43 he might consider it.

Well, i think Joe is smart enough to realize that this isn't a prime RJJ. I definitely see this fight happening if Calzaghe beats Hopkins. I see both sides WANTING this fight. RJJ really has nothing to lose and Calzaghe has more to lose but he's also got a lot to gain. Plus, you know this will be a huge PPV fight.

Winner of Calz/Hops should take on Jones.

I really doubt Jones could knock Joe out now.

I think he has a lot more left than 40%. Tarver just took his heart and it took awhile to get it back.
