Wut? Hagler looked slow as ****. Fight was a glorified sparring match. **** was a fix. No way Hagler misses and throws those little soft punches when Leonard was dead in his face doing nothing. Leonard was not even moving or defending.

Me too (can't remember if I voted already). Wouldn't be shocked by a Hagler win but I would favor RJJ.

jones was naturally the bigger man, if he fights at 168 in the ring he wins, but if he fights at 160 in the ring, then marvin would win by late stoppage,at the same weight jones could not keep off hagler

You mean if Roy weighed in at 154 and weighed 160ish on fight night, he'd lose?

I love Marvin, but this is a bad match-up for him.

Marvin's toughness, aggression and engine would be his downfall in the end as Roy would make him look silly.

It's all about styles: And Roy's beats Marvin's every time.

    Two predictions.

1 ) Jones would never take this fight!

2 ) If he did, Hagler would TKO him late.

    1. Any specific reason why you don't think he'd have taken the fight?

    2. I think Roy was too big, too powerful and too fast for him. I don't see Marvin knocking out the Tate version of Roy.

Makes me a bit dubious backing Jones in a fight but there's no proof either way so why the hell not?

Jones is an all time great at light heavy but prime hagler would stalk him and stop him at 160.
Hagler arguably has the best chin of any middleweight ever and Jones had the fastest hands but below average punch resistance.
Over 15 Hagler has a better chance but even over 12 he'd get him.

Jones was a comfortable MW for a very short time in his career, granted. But the Jones who beat Hopkins so comfortably I struggle to see him losing to another MW. If it's a same day weigh in the only heavy hitting MW who can match his speed and athleticism is Sugar.
