Relax manbearpig. As soon as there are more I'll get them uploaded to ya. Sit tight. Just rewatch these and enjoy them (don't be so impatient).

Roy Jones is finished as a top level fighter and has been for some time. Yes, he can still look good against the likes of Lacy, but then so could a lot of other fighters.

He's hard to deal with and is a really good fighter but he's not somebody that strikes fear in the hearts of fighters. Hopkins looked uncomfortable due to styles, not intimidation. Jones clammed up because of his workrate and then the cut.

Because of styles, it was hard for Hopkins to land on Joe. Besides, since when does Hopkins open up on anyone of recent?

Joe was hurt, you can see it plainly. It was Roy who allowed him to recover and come after him with his flurries.

There are TWO bouts under discussion.

In the Hopkins fight, the KD was insignificant, other than for the two point lead it gave Hopkins.

Joe continued to be the agressor and Bernard continued to RETREAT WITHOUT THROWING A SINGLE PUNCH FOR 43 SECONDS.

Clearly, Joe was not in any trouble.

In the SECOND fight, Roy clearly DID hurt Joe with his forearm blow and landed him on his arse.

And, as your video shows, he DID try to take advantage and finish Joe off.

And, as your video shows, Joe recovered, did NOT cover up or retreat, and took the fight to Roy, forcing Roy back and landing punches on him.

    It's not like Roy didn't try !

And given that they were in the first round, Roy's legs were NOT an issue. Nor was his power and speed. The key point was Joe's reaction to the KD and his aggressive counterattack.

And as for Roy being even till the cut in round seven ?

    Complete nonsense !

Joe won every round from 2-12 inclusive, on ALL THREE JUDGES scorecards

Yes, mini-Tyson & all that ****, it was only after Calzaghe wrecked him that dumbasses claimed he was never anything good.

    Same ****, different fight.

Nah, he wasn't ever a good fighter. Omar Sheika proved that beyond a doubt.

Yes and Rahman proved beyond a doubt that Lewis was ****.

And Schmelling exposed Joe Louis as a nobody.

And Ken Norton pretty much trashed Ali's career.

And those guys had to WIN to prove their points.

Omar managed to expose Lacy, merely by losing decisively to him.

    I don't call 7 rounds to 5 decisive.

Sheika was a clubfighter at the time and he took 5 rounds off a "prime" Lacy, that says all you really need to know about a prime Lacy.

You missed the whole point of the post (Rahman-Lewis etc..)

You're judging Lacy on ONE FIGHT.

Was Johnson exposed when he lost to Sheika ?

Well in this discussion there is only one bout. I don't know what fight you are watching but Roy didn't go after like he should've. Go watch a prime Roy Jones and watch how he used jump on his opponents when they were hurt (see Pazienza). Joe was hurt but Roy let him recover, plain and simple.
