I point out Jones fanboys because before the fight they said Jones would stop Calzaghe but after it was "Ohwell Jones was shot anyway" Yes Lacy and Sheika had already been destroyed by Calzaghe but again after Jones beat them the fanboys started saying that Jones was back to his best and would now beat Calzaghe.. crazy stuff. But i cant take those wins away from Jones he schooled them both. No Johnson doesnt get enough credit for beating jones , normally because the fanboys blame jones weight issues rather than looking at what Johnson did. Which is why calzaghe wont get much credit for beating Jones , but to me it was the way in which Calzaghe won semi schooling jones with brittle hands that i give him credit for, but as we both know this fight was about financial security. Well as for Green we both know Calzaghe had no power left in his hands if he did the fight may have turned out diferent with jones getting stopped
He has no particular desire to test himself against the very best, such as WBC light-heavyweight champ Roy Jones. Calzaghe added: "I'm not chasing after Roy Jones. Be honest, Roy Jones is a good fighter and I don't want tough fights, I just want big money. This content is protected /end thread
People say Roy was shot when Calzaghe beat him but show me where he was so different there to when he failed a test against R Hall and where the hand speed was so different. The difference was Jones was facing someone who could match him for speed and had a bit more ring generalship. Hall couldnt close the gaps like Calzaghe also Calzaghes foot movement was causing Jones problems This content is protected This content is protected No doubt there will be some that say well if you cant tell the difference, but let them explain. Nobody can tell me the difference in Jones, but you can see the difference between Calzaghe and Hall and that seemed to make a big difference.
****in simpleton. You can be this ****in daft to come with this ****. You're either a troll, or just a stupid little kid. :think
RJJ was clearly past his best. Although he did still have some skill. If he didn't, then he would not have beat Trinidad, Sheika, or Lacy so decisively. With that being said, it's not really a win that you can put a lot of stock into. Calzaghe was no spring chicken either. More so just embarrassing how bad Calzaghe clowned him. That was entertaining because RJJ did that **** his whole career.
Joe Calzaghe - I don't want Tough Fights :rofl :-( "I have no interest any more in Roy Jones and no interest in Antonio Tarver. Jones is washed up and Tarver was never that good anyway, he just caught Jones when Jones was shot and Johnson did the same." -From Joe's own autobiography, published in 2007. :verysad
Why do you argue your hero's own words?:huh He also said he knew his own limitations when Roy was prime, and thought he could give him a tough fight. He also said some of the same about Roy being shot, to his crying boy, after he watched a Roy Jones highlight.:deal No sane person thinks Roy was prime, hell he was barely a top 10 LHW, and was ranked pretty generously. You know what I think, I bet you are Calzaghe's son, and he comforted you because you were scared that Roy would hurt your dad.. Now you are trying to make up for it because you feel foolish for being scared of shot Roy Jones to the point of crying.:rofl
