Agreed on both counts:good. RJJ is one of my faves, and also one of the fighters who really got me into boxing, and it's terrible seeing him like that. Sadly, I don't think he'll retire either.

 

Not really a big surprise...A big puncher with a soild chin rushes and knocks out a shot Jones.

It's just brought anyone who was in denial about Roy being shot back down to earth.

Toney goes down as a greater fighter than Jones now, not many would've thought that 6-7 years ago. Longevity is a big part of he game, and Jones chin has also been exposed as massive egg shells.

 

it is not the biggest fight in Australian boxing history, Mundine v Green, made more money, fenech v Nelsen 2 was bigger and the biggest is Jack johnson v tommy burns in 1908, for the HW championship of the world

 

RJJ needs to hang em up

 

After watching it again if positive the stoppage was good. He did managed to block most of the punches, but you could see he was out on his feet the way he staggered back. And three uppercuts got through his guard.
