ok mate whatever you say, obviously hopkins was a 20 fight unified middleweight champion when jones beat him in your eyes... in mine he was at that point no more than a veit or sheika or starie as his record suggested, hell even his KO record was pretty average. he was only a usba title holder for crying out loud. he and jones fought for a vacant title. nobody would have guessed he'd go on to acheive what he did, but what he achieved was both pretty damned impressive and raised roy jones's stock and what jones acheived was possibly more impressive and raised b-hops stock... that's undeniable.

Nobody would have guessed what Bernard would have done?Then why the **** was he ranked so highly at middleweight at that point in his career?You're really reaching for it.Anyone say spin,baby,spin?When Calzaghe made his Jones comments,he wasn't talking smack,he was putting his own words in his autobiography.There was no smack talking,just his innermost thoughts as he was putting thoughts to paper in order to relate his feelings in his autobiography.Isn't that why famous people publish their autobiographies?Oh,I forgot the other reason-to make money while trying to make themselves look more human or approachable,or vulnerable,or whatever.What the **** does Barack Obama have to do with Joe Calzaghe lying and making money and trying to enhance his reputation?You're really reaching for it fella.Nothing like delusion.And by the way,Hopkins' ko percentage has never been fantastic.Since when is Hopkins known as one of the best punchers of his generation?Sheesh.
