I doubt it, more like 80/20 in favour of Kessler. Maybe Jones' speed can cause some initial problems, he's still got genuine speed.

That doesn't change the fact Calzaghe beat him easily, Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver both knocked him out..and that was a few years ago...hes now 40.

I'd say 80-20 is a pretty fair call.

Jones is still a handy operator - people tended to exaggerate the extent of his decline to a degree - me included, and therefore some have equally overstated the extent of this win as part of his 'restoration'.

You can simply look at Boxrec and determine that Lacy was whooped by Taylor not long back and received a gift decision in his next fight.

Kessler I'd say would have too much, and would wear Jones down before taking him out around the 8th, unless Roy gets on the bike.

Mariancobretti/Krishnan is just a Calzaghe and Kessler hater - nothing more nothing less.

Big legacy fight for Jones to win this one if he could at this stage of his career. That said, you gotta favour Kessler to take it.

How anyone thinks Kessler has a better chance than 50/50 at light heavy is beyond me.

His best wins are Andrade and Mundine....even now Jones is far better than those mugs

    90/10 for me,

    the 10% being :-

An injury to Kessler (would have to be severe)

Another fan man flying in and ruining the fight (would have to be an outdoor arena)

Roy Jones building a time machine

Kessler decides to have sex change (dont know how he would take a punch to the tit)

Jones loads his gloves and Kessler's team dont have a fella in the dressing room

I think that Roy was a great fighter in his day,but all he did last night was beat someone more shot than he is.Mikkel Kessler is a very good fighter that is still young.Mikkel's only problem is that he's inactive. However if they were to fight,I firmly believe that Mikkel would beat him easily, stopping Roy late. All of these victories against older, shot fighters mean nothing except more paydays for Roy.If Roy ever fights an elite again,he will get beaten up.

How people fall in love with grandiouse delusions. Chambers loses to Povetkin, beats out an out of shape, unmotivated Peters in lackluster fashion, and than fights an subpar Dimentrko and all of sudden he is the next best thing since slice bread. Same with Jones, he beats a fighter in Lacy, with ****ed up shoulders, whose best days where when dinosaurs roamed the universe and all of a sudden Jones has 50/50 chance of beaten Kessler:nut:nut:nut.

Roy would have his moments agianst Kessler..But Kessler would beat Him by a UD, not becuz kesslers a great fighter cuz he isnt even close, becuz Roy is just way past his prime...But I still believe a shot RJ would rock Kessler a few times
