Jones vs Lacy (I Think Lacy has a legit chance)

I'm hoping Lacy gets a win the guy needs a big win lately.

 

Lacy is going to shatter Roy's fragile Glass Jaw all over the place. Jones can't take a good punch and he will get hit in this fight. What Roy needs to do is try and avenge that brutal KO loss to Glen Johnson.

 

Cant see Lacy win this one (but hey you never know!).
I know Sheika was done but Jones showed some really precise punching there. Lacy is not really a defensive genius. Not sure Jones has the power to ko him but i can see a 12 rounds beating.

 

I'd like to see what happens if lacy lands a Hook. (Why not?)

lol lacy is still trying to land that left hook since he fought calzaghe....jones will outbox lacy over the distance.

 

I think RJ is going to KO Lacy.

Really, Lacy should be 0-3 in his last 3 fights instead of 2-1. He got gift decisions against Mendoza and Griffin and got dominated by Taylor. He just doesn't have the power he used to have.

 

He looked OK against Taylor for the first 3 rounds then it looked like he lost all of his stamina. I know Lacy is debilitated a little from his shoulder surgery but if he lands of Roy's fragile Glass Jaw he will win the fight.

 

good job your not betting on your predictions you would have lost a lot of cash....lol lacy has never had the power against top fighters....still love watching calzaghe beating the living **** out of lacy..you can hear lacys girlfriend screaming over the commentry..

 

No I think Roy takes this. Roy still has handspeed and Lacy cant get his punches off. Roy can pop shot him all night.

I was at Lacy's last fight in April. I dont even remember the other guys name but he was one of those contender guys (I think) and in all honesty and as a Lacy fan, I think the other guy should have won and Lacy got a hometown decision.

Seeing as bad as Lacy is now, I honestly suspect that Taylor carried Lacy in their fight late in 2008 as they were US olympic teammates and friends. Lacy looked better there than he had in years but he looked like **** in April.

Lacy just doesnt have anything to bother Jones with. He cant get his punches off and cant beat his tuneups, Jones can KO him if he wants but he might carry him because they are friends.

 

Hes called Lefthook for a reason. The guy has one punch. Even as old as Jones is, he SHOULD be able to avoid the lefthook and cruise to an easy decision. If he loses to Lacy, he really should consider hanging them up.

 

Yeah they are doing favors for Lacy because of his name. Taylor gave him the fight to help him get back. Roy is making the fight because they both will benefit off the names and it is a winable fight for Roy. Roy was at the fight in April and I think he was a bit disappointed by the performance (and worried before the decision).

Lacy still is getting fights and barely squeaking by because of his name and his friends but he is a shell of what he was 6 years ago. He would have been KOing these guys he is getting gift decisions over now. I dont know if its physical or mental but he cant do it anymore and Im not trashing him, he is from my home town so I just want the best for him.

 

Of getting beat silly. He should be able to win but he is more damaged goods than the older Jones.
