Guys, This fight should have happened back in 1999. I agree...but... I put in my prediction at liverpuncher dot com boxing fantasy league but EVERYONE is picking Jones to win. I put in Tito via KO....I mean I saw Tarver beat down Jones and the Road Warrior OUTWORK Jones and Pummel him in recent years. Jones is half of what he was in the 90's. Does everyone think Jones still has the speed from 1999? I mean all it takes is one punch and its GAME OVER. The last thing to go is the PUNCH in a champ and I just don't see jones being able to hold off tito for 12 FULL rounds. Everyone will say "Winky Wright Winky Wright beat up Tito blah blah ", but he has the best defense in all of boxing behind Floyd Mayweather....Jones has an "OK" defense at this point in his career but tends to cower on the ropes each chance he gets... Nothing at the level of Floyd and Wright.
1) Trinidad couldn't hurt Wright but who has? 2) Trinidad couldn't beat B-Hop but look at what Hopkins did to Tarver! 3) Look at what Tarver did to Jones! 4) Did anyone see Jones fight Hanshaw? Hanshaw is slow, methodical and a light puncher... and he also had Jones on the ropes at least once in almost every round! 5) At a 5-1 underdog, Tito's chances are underrated.
Good point bro.....i DID NOT see jones last fight but really Who Actually Did??? Was it on PPV? That may have been why i didn't see it. Let me guess, it ended in typical roy jones 12 round BORRRING azz decision. i didn't want to pay for a SPARRING SESSION. Tell me if im wrong about how it went down....i didn't even watch the fight!
