jesus, it's a sad loss but it's sadder watching people come to grips with the fact that it happened.

If Roys hand was up where it should have been protecting his head, maybe he would have seen round 2?

Yes the punch was illegal but Jones should have retired time ago.

It is not an illegal punch when the fighter turns his away from the punch as it is being thrown. Now, if Roy's head was down, and Danny just reached around with a haymaker and hit Roy in the brain stem the you might have a point. Most of the impact landed right behind the ear anyways which is a common knockout punch. The rest was just follow through.

 

Green was also holding him with his left hand and hitting with his right a couple of times in that "exchange". ^_^

 

It landed on the side of the head, didn't it? I don't know if that's illegal, but it wasnt the back, and the reason it didn't land on the front of his head is Roy turned his head in that last microsecond when his reflexes told him a punch was zooming in. The average fighter wouldn't have reacted at all and been floored.

 

did anyone watch the lastest roy jones interview at his hotel................he said that it was a good shot that hit him in the ..........back of the head so i take this as where it landed. He didnt have a red ear or any other marks on his face so i guess the flurry danny laid didnt hit anything the uppercuts he supposedly ate didnt bruise him so i guess they werent flush.

If they rematch would this happen again the same way?????? and danny is kind of acting like dim wit now he beat roy 40 and now he wants hopkins 44 and maybe hollyfield 47 is it just me or is this guy going up in age for his fighters.

Surely beating a washed up jones doesnt qualify him to be at the top of our greatest fighters like some have said.......!! oh and boxing is an individual sport i dont see why people are having a crack at the ausies that were associated with Roy Jones in his corner does danny have to make it country vs country in every fight. and what was with Jonh williamson ahahaha thats just weird.

 

I have the fight recorded on my 60 inch HTDV and it was not an illegal punch by any means. Those who have been claiming such claim that head butts are legal!
