Jones would been accused of cherry picking had he fought Calzaghe in his prime.

how is anyone wrong about calzaghe not wanting jones ...When calzaghes words are exactly "I AM NOT CHASING ROY JONES".

anyone who says anything bad about calzaghe is a calzaghe hater??? Really??? SO by your logic, joe calzaghe is a calzgahe hater too :roflfor saying hes not chasing roy jones! how idiotic a view! good luck in labelling joe calzagne a calzaghe hater.

Would have been interesting, a toss-up. Jones nearly got KTFO by Lou de Valle. If Joe hurt him, he woulda finished him.

Higher Ko's  oh you mean those suspect TKO's the Angel Manfreddy stoppage comes to mind

He did KO Hall of Famer Virgil. Hill with a body punch ! Let us know when Joe's ever Ko'ed someone on that level!

    Joe Calzaghe dominated Roy Jones.

No excuses, they were close to the same age when they fought.

Joe would have schooled Roy at any time in their careers - he was simple a better, more athletic boxer.

Till 2004 when he fought Jeff Lacy no one knew who Calzaghe was. He was no where close to Jones Stratosphere as far as status and accolades. The belt he was holding at the time, WBO belt was the least respected of all the major organization.

You said he couldn't KO Hopkins andTony but who has KO'd those guys. Styles make fight and doubt Calzaghe could have beat Dawson.

Jones knew who Calzaghe was. There was talk of them fighting in 00, and Calzaghe was also mentioned again by Jones as a possible opponent after Jones beat C Woods.

Calzaghe wouldn't have stood a chance against Jones pre-Tarver. He might've won more rounds than most others did, though.

The amount of revisionism which goes on in here...

What weight class was Jones fighting in early 2000s?
What weight class was Joe fighting in?
What belt was Calzaghe holding at the time?
Dude believe me, until the Lacy fight, no one here knew who the fock Joe Calzaghe was.
