    War Huggy Bear!

he dropped and badly hurt evander holyfield with one right, which monster punchers like foreman, tyson, rahman, and lewis could not do.

ruiz is a true warrior of kindred spirits, rising from the ashes, the essence of boxing!

when he lost, did he claim he was drugged? no. Sure he cried about the ref and a divorce, but at least he didn't claim he was drugged like wlad versus brewster. 4 years late, did he claim he really won the fight, like vitali did regarding lewis? did he cry for years afterwards and try to pick a fight with the winner after the fight ended, like quitali? No.

Did he test positive for steroids like James Toney did, twice?

Did he get owned twice by Oleg Maskaev and fall through the ropes?
Did he waste his talent on burgers and fries like his daddy, David Tua?

Did he ever bite an opponent or hit him 50x low, or quit repeatedly, a la Andrew Golota?

Ruiz is a true honorable boxer unlike these other recent heavyweights out there.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Promoters Don King and Pepe Gomez ink the deal that will bring the WBC heavyweight title clash between Oleg Maskaev and Sam Peter to Cancun on March 8th. It will be the first heavyweight title fight ever in Mexico. The undercard is shaping up nicely with a WBA/WBO/IBF lightweight title clash between champion Juan Diaz and Nate Campbell, and an equally interesting WBC super lightweight eliminator between former two-time lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo and unbeaten Timothy Bradley. Other bouts include a heavyweight duel between ex-champ :goodJohn Ruiz:good and Jameel McCline, and NABF flyweight king Gilberto Keb against Wilberth Uicab. Super lightweight Antonio Fitch, former world featherweight champion "Guty" Espadas Jr. and featherweight Moises Perez will face TBA. It looks like HBO will televise

    what that hell omg

John Ruiz was a capable heavyweight , after the Tua loss John stayed unbeaten and went on a long string of solid wins.. Holyfield, Jerry Ballard , Ray Anis, Kirk Johnson made him look like a rejuvinated character. Roy dropped his confidence when he took his Heavyweight crown....

    God Bless...

No - he REPEATEDLY violated the rules against excessive holding in just about every fight after King manuevered him undeservedly into the ratings, he BLATANTLY faked low blows in at least three fights to get point deductions and "win" fights by DQ, and relied on King to get him gift decisions in others.

The other guys you mentioned may have BLEMISHES on their careers, but Ruiz's ENTIRE career is a stain on the sport of boxing. Honorable?? Ruiz is anything but - he is the biggest fraud and cheat to ever hold a HW title belt.
